Coming to Access my English was terrible .. Now ... Well, you probably know what my level of English - it leaves much to be desired. Many of us Access learned English, grammar. But not me, Access has taught me something more important: the ability to not be ashamed of their mistakes and to speak, to speak, try to speak English. Access is not only an educational program. Access it is friends. Most positive emotion was bind with a preparing for holidays and summer camps. Remember Narn-Sun 2011 with tiger-dance of orange team? Or Narn-Sun and cowboy dance? It was funny, incendiary. Better late than never. I want to apologize to the XX, YY, ZZ for being late. And now I'm sorry for the irresponsible. But I do not know what can change this bad habit.

The Russian-Toy puppy actually wasn't vassinated. I thought " I don't want to have a little yap monster who will bite everyone ". I have heard a lot about this kind of dogs. Chow-Chow sheds hair so much. It don't for me. The half-blood bager-dog was red. A pet shelter worker said that the puppy is a girl and she is vassinated. . My mom said " Agreed! We take the half-blood puppy! ". We didn't feed our girl because we was late for the train.It was raining in that day. I put the puppy in my cap and she fall asleep. When she wake up, we was by the way an hour. She pissed on our button. A woman which sat next to us said that it isn't a problem and gave us a wet tissue. The puppy looked no more than a month and a half. When we come home, our cats recieve the puppy like an enemy. They spat to her. The first night was awful because the puppy cried a long time.

Очень часто возникает вопрос, а если надо перечислить несколько вещей, то какой из оборотов брать. Как для единственного числа there is или как для множественного числа there are ?
Ответ простой: there is/there are согласовывается с первым существительным.

There are four toys and a laptop on the table – На столе четыре игрушки и ноутбук.

Учила английский несколько лет, прошли не один учебник, мой уровень - средний. Хотя названий много этих уровней.. в общем свободно общаюсь. Но когда дело доходит до умных разговоров, тут я могу не понять собеседника.
Уважаемые участники сообщества, посоветуйте какой-нибудь учебник(и) которые помогли бы значительно повысить уровень языка, не бизнес-уровень, но ближе к нему, не разговорный английский, а более литературный что-ли.. в общем толковый, практичный учебник, а то купишь и ерунда..

Можете подсказать рассказы\сказки, где употребляется основная база слов? Те, что чаще используются. Дело в том, что этой самой базы у меня и нет - до седьмого класса не слишком хорошо преподавали язык, а интерес проснулся буквально год назад.
Как можно этот пробел восстановить? Понятно, что заучивать, но откуда слова брать?
В общем, посоветуйте, пожалуйста, книжки)

Jeans and Levi Strauss
Like many other American cities, San Francisco has got some unusual tourist attractions. For example, 250 Valencia Street, the home of the Levi Strauss company.
The company first started making jeans in San Francisco in 1853. After the 1906 earthquake, they had to move into their present building.
Levi Strauss was born in Buttenheim, Bavaria. He emigrated to the United States in 1847 when he was 18. When the gold rush began, Levi Strauss went to California.
He planned to start a business in California with a relative. They wanted to open a shop selling material. Unfortunately, a lot of the material was stolen on the way. And Levi Strauss had to sell some of it because he was so poor. The business was not successful. So Levi Strauss started to dig for gold. The other workers laughed at the holes in Levi Strauss´s trousers. So he took some tent canvas to a tailor´s and asked him to make him a pair of trousers. Soon everybody wanted to have canvas trousers.
Levi Strauss was in business again. He had found his own kind of gold.At first his jeans were word by gold diggers and cowboys and not by just about everybody until 1954 when the young American actor, James Dean, wore jeans in the famous film East of Eden
Just think, if the other gold diggers hadn´t laughed at Levi Strauss, would you be wearing jeans today?

Очень нужна помощь. Правда вопрос немного нестандартный для этого сообщества.
Я не могу заставить себя учить английский. Совсем скоро мне нужно писать тест, а я всё ещё ничего не делаю. После того, как написала репетиционное тестирование, причём я его, как мне кажется, завалила, перестало вообще что-либо получаться. Просто впадаю в ступор, когда вижу английский текст. Постоянно ищу какие-то глупые отговорки, лишь бы не делать его здесь и сейчас.
Может кто-то с таким сталкивался?
Короче, я попыталась перевести личную инфорацию для своей странички на reverbnation и facebook. Уровень английского мой пока что не на должном уровне,хотелось,чтобы вы помогли мне проверить свои ошибки.
