It's really gorgeous and a great website!
You need to - and I mean NEED - to label it with Warp's copyright information and link to the elfquest.com website. That is the only way you'll remain online legally. Their website has information about this. I highly recommend you read it so that they don't demand you remove the site.
Thanks, I think about your proposal.
And how you feel, the site also indicate Harry Poterr?
If there are HP things, then yes, you must label the information clearly. Everying that was created by someone that isn't the owner of the site - Elfquest, HP, whatever - NEEDS to have copyright information and links.
If someone who didn't know elfquest went to the site, they would not find a link to the real Elfquest owner's site. I've informed Richard Pini about it, so he will do whatever is necessary. If you don't own the property, like from a movie or whatever, it's not yours to show off unless you say whose it is. That's all.
Я: Dear , dtf-stock
I do not need to label elfquest.com on my drawing, becouse here in Russia we have slightly different laws about copyright. If something is drawn by my hands and from my head (even if the character itself was not created by me) I do not need to place that creator's copyright. And since I'm living in here I do not have to obey US laws.
What about elfquest.com - we do for it the best advertising in the whole Russia, believe me.
If you truly respected and loved the Elfquest product, you should at least be good enough to put a link to the elfquest.com site on your pages. The authors worked harder than you did, to put out a product worth having a fan site about. Just because you think that it's okay to not label it with copyright information, means only that you're cheating Wendy and Richard out of their due praise.
Я: Do you write all these recommendations avtaram fan art!
If you mean do I recommend that people link back to the main site or person responsible for creating something that they make fan art about? YES. Yes I do. I've seen enough stolen and ripoff stuff online that it makes me rather angry that people would refuse to do the right thing and *credit where it's due*. Just because it's not "required" doesn't mean it's something that shouldn't be done.
If you created something amazing, and found out that someone in another country was using it for their own site *without telling you or showing where they got it from* wouldn't you be kind of angry?
I'm not saying that the art you've done and the other fan stuff on the site isn't awesome- because it IS awesome work. Very hard work went into those things. However, they are based on characters that weren't made BY you. Without those, there'd be no site.
