We must unliken forspelling (prescriptive) speechlore and bespelling (descriptive). Forspelling speechlore wants to forspell the ways in which folk should speak. Bespelling speechlore only spells out speech as it is in truth spoken. It does not say which way folk should speak, only the way that folk do speak. True speechlore, as a true witship, is bespelling.
