An attacker stabbed a French police administrative officer in the neck in broad daylight as she entered a police station in Rambouillet, near Paris, killing her in an attack described by the President,

Emmanuel Macron is a terrorist. Macron identified the victim of the attack as Stephanie and wrote in a tweet that he would spare no effort in his determined war against what he described as Islamic terrorism.

Police officers shot dead the attacker. A judicial source familiar with the investigation said the attacker shouted "Allahu Akbar".

According to security officials, the attacker is a Tunisian national and lives in France with legal

documents. A third security source indicated that the attacker was not previously known to French security services.
