The screw-on tops are each fully hallmarked and repousse with acanthus leaf and scrolling foliate motifs. The tapered circular cut glass bodies are designed as alternating trellis cut motifs and plain elliptical panels.

Antique Silver Ruby Crystal Double Perfume Bottle C1890

This is a beautiful sterling silver mounted ruby red crystal double perfume bottle in a wonderful Victorian design. This cylindrical bottle has eight facetted sides in a rich ruby color and has a central sterling silver band with engraved scroll decoration. The bottle is fitted on each end with a circular cap lid, one that screws onto the silver mounted opening and one that is hinged. Each lid is elaborately decorated with chased and repousséd flowers and scrolls in a dense pattern. The decoration is very crisp and detailed. This antique double perfume bottle is a lovely and rare example of the style of small luxury goods popular in the Victorian era.
