You wake up. You climb out of the capsule and look at unfamiliar stars through the porthole. You check out the timer. It's showing value overflow, which means that you have been in stasis for 131072 Earth years or more. You are older than the stars themselves. Everyone you have ever known are dead. In fact, it's not guaranteed that humanity itself exists any more. You just might be the last human in the Universe.

Luckily the ship seems to have handled the wait pretty well. Apart from a few minor chains, most systems booted up and are operational. You are not hurting for life support and the medical devices are able to prolong your life almost indefinitely, unless something drastic happens. You are not hurting for fuel either and are able to perform FTL jumps as much as you like as long as there's any matter in the galaxy. Deep space dust and hydrogen would do just fine. Maybe you should start exploring, finding out what's going on in this strange new world. Who knows, maybe you'll find a colonizable planet somewhere and eventually reestablish human civilization?

And maybe, just maybe, you'll also remember how you've got into this mess in the first place.
