Where is the beginning of human cruelty? I mean where is that line after which you are no longer considered as a kind understanding person capable of compassion? Cruel things happen to people and change them. It may be not their fault. They are just no longer able to care enough. Or to care enough in certain circumstances. Can we draw the line here? Can we consider a person which is able to be very cruel in certain situations kind and caring if apart from these situations he/she is indeed kind and caring? The question is if a kind caring person has a right to be beyond cruelty in certain situations? And can we use some aspects of these situations as mitigating circumstances?
Or we should look the truth in the eye and accept the fact that even the best of us can be morally ugly in certain situations (?)
