Atlanta native Virginia Parker lived in northern California in the sixties, worked in front of the camera in Europe in the seventies, and was a professional journalist from 1980 to 2008. She began painting in the nineties.In 2009 she completed a series of still life paintings, Metamorphosis, a visual commentary on the sudden and profound crisis of publishing and print journalism.
