*Why have you drawn yourself asa superhero?
-I’ve always wanted to be one. I had Spider-Man posters on my wall when I was young. I still have them. In the past two days I’ve watched 12 episodes of Heroes. It’s great.
*What superpower would you want most?
-To see through women’s clothing.
*Like your mom’s?
-That’s really sick; but with great power comes great responsibility.
*What did you do last night?
-I watched the Vancouver Canucks play in the first game of the playoffs against the Anaheim Ducks. This is really not interesting, is it?
*Not really. How about this: It’s a typical Friday at 11 p.m. What are you doing?
-I am on the couch falling asleep, because, well, I can’t tell you why, because it’s illegal.
*How illegal?
-Illegal enough. I’m burned out, usually. I’m not going to tell you more than that. By 11 o’clock, I’m pooped from what I’ve been doing all day. It makes a lot of things — like eating, sex and TV — more fun.
*When was the first time you got drunk?
-I was 11, on a fishing boat with my family, eating crabs. I asked my parents if I could have a rum and Coke and they said, “Well, why don’t you have as many as you’d like with us?” I puked all night.
*If we drug-tested you, what would we find?
-You know the answer. It would make up 50 percent of my molecules. You could probably just burn me right now and inhale, and we’d be hungry and everything would be better.
*Would there be any legal drugs?
-I’m on Nexium for heartburn; I use an inhaler for my asthma; and I get cold sores, so I use Denavir. I’m also wearing orthotics in my shoes right now. Seriously. I broke my ankle playing hockey. I’m like a 31-year-old man in an 80-year-old man’s body.
*If you have asthma, why do you smoke?
-Nobody likes a quitter.
*What’s the worst mistake you ever made?
-One time I was singing at a club, and these guys kept booing me, and at the end of the night I asked them to step outside. But they weren’t yelling “Boo! Boo!” — they were yelling “Lou! Lou!” because my drummer, Lou Huger, was a buddy of theirs. I felt like a jackass.
*Tell us a trade secret.
-Be nice to everyone. You never know if the intern will be the next president of your record company.
*“Stairway to Heaven” or “Freebird”?
-“Stairway to Heaven,” without a doubt. What other song do you get 12 minutes to make out with a girl on the dance floor?
*Would you ever get plastic surgery?
-Maybe a penis reduction.
*Do you do your own laundry?
-Of course. I don’t want people to see my laundry.
*Are you a genius?
-I’m more like an idiot savant. Like, “Wow, he can count those cards,” but totally retarded in other ways. Like Rain Man.
*What happens after you die?
-I hope I go to heaven in a little rowboat.
*What’s your tombstone going to say?
-Fuck, I told you I was ill.

NEW YORK — For crooner Michael Buble, success in America has been a long time coming.
Sure, Buble received media attention and did well internationally with his 2003 self-titled debut album, and his retro style drew favorable comparisons to greats such as Frank Sinatra. But his success abroad did not translate into big record sales in the U.S. Patience has paid off for the 32-year-old Canadian. He was a featured performer on "American Idol," made Oprah Winfrey swoon on her show, and his third album, "Call Me Irresponsible," debuted at the top of the charts.
Buble talks with The Associated Press about his success, regrets and romance with actress Emily Blunt.
Q: Did you approach making this album differently from past recordings?
A: Of course. I come in with more experience. In certain ways, I am more confident, and in other ways, I am far more humble. I realize I have made a lot of mistakes and done things wrong. I've done things I wish I could have done in another way. I didn't come in with the same kind of desperation that I may have had on the first or second record. ... I have come to the point now where I am really allowing myself to enjoy it, really enjoy it.
Q: What was the biggest mistake of your career?
A: My mouth. I am a candid interview and I have a dark and dry sense of humor, a very Canadian sense of humor. ... When I say something funny in a newspaper ... it doesn't read that way. ... There were comments about many things I wish I would have said in a different way or a more eloquent way.
Q: In the past, critics have been somewhat hard on you. Do you worry about that?
A: It was to be expected. I am singing a genre of music that people are very protective of. I am being compared to the greatest vocalist of all time. Someone asked me the other day, 'Do you get upset when people say you are the young Frank Sinatra?' ... It is a huge compliment, but it is false. There will never be another Frank Sinatra. I never wanted to be another Frank Sinatra. I only wanted to be another Michael Buble. ... I have not earned the right to be called the young Sinatra, but give me time.
Q: You date actress Emily Blunt. Have you found the media to be too intrusive?
A: I had done an interview with Hello magazine. ... They asked me if I was going to marry Emily Blunt. Of course, what was I going to say? I said, 'Oh, yeah, I am going to marry her and I love her and all of this stuff.' It's true. I was making a joke. They said to me, 'Have you asked her?' I said, 'Have I? Maybe I am asking her through the magazine.' Me being dry, I realize now I can't even joke about stuff because they've used it to sell their magazine. They have taken it completely out of context. ... The big question I had was, do you think I would ask her to marry me through Hello magazine? Would I do something like that? Would she allow that to happen? It is completely ridiculous.

40,000 Powderfinger Fans Can't Be Wrong

Powderfinger's 'Dream Days at the Hotel Existence' has become the fastest selling album so far this year, debuting atop the ARIA chart with sales of 40,847.
The better news is that 4 of the 5 fastest selling albums this year have been Australian releases and even more amazing, all four Australian releases have been Indie releases.
Following in second place was Michael Buble 'Call Me Irresponsible' which sold 37,005 units.
Next comes Silverchair's 'Young Modern' with 35,627 units.
Missy Higgins 'On A Clear Night' is in 4th place with 35,627 units and in 5th place, John Butler Trio debuted with sales of around 25,000.
Powderfinger record for Paul Piticco's Brisbane based label Dew Process. Both Silverchair and Missy Higgins record for John Watson's Eleven Records and John Butler releases his albums through his own label Jarrah Records.

[492x699]Посмотрела вчера с "немногим" опозданием "Дьявол носит Прада". На самом деле решилась на это только из-за того, что хотелось посмотреть на Эмили Блант. Скажу, не скрывая, она произвела на меня довольно хорошее впечатление. По крайней мере, её игра была ярче игры главной героини (может, конечно, из-за характера роли..)
Отдельно отметить нужно Мерил Стрип. Вот ради чего нужно посмотреть этот фильм, так ради её образа и игры :) Фантастическая актриса!
В целом, очень даже ничего. Во-первых, красивые лица, на которые приятно смотреть; во-вторых, ненавязчиво; в-третьих, можно на время погрузиться в тот мир (для кого-то волшебный) моды и гламура, куда простой смертный даже не осмелится заглянуть.
