Born in Nice on the French Riviera, Samy Charnine immigrated to the United States in 1983. He has had shows in San Diego, San Francisco, La Jolla and Newport Beach in California, Lahaina on the Island of Maui in Hawaii and in Denver and Aspen Colorado. He is collected by enthusiasts in the US, London, France, Monaco, Germany and Switzerland. Original oil paintings range from $15,000 to $35,000. Charnine’s 2003 calendar, Surreal Escapes published by Portal Publications was enthusiastically received and sold out in all outlets.
