the holiday time is back and so are hordes and hordes of tourists. i hate this time of the year because of them. they're everywhere. somehow somewhere someone has decided that New York City is their own private Disneyland movie set and we're all extras to make the scenery prettier and more festive. there's no concern for those of us who live and work here and need to go about our daily business. the hordes of open-mouth-gaping, slowly-crawling-four-abreast, randomly-stopping, constant-picture-taking-in-the-middle-of-the-street have once again decended on the city and i'm once again craving for the opening of the shoot-the-tourists season. why are we allowed to hunt deer, ducks, foxes that didn't do anything to us but we can't do anything about the ugly, fat ass, obnoxious rednecks. it's just not fair. they make me want to take a vacation some place far for the entire month of december.

i bet all new yorkers can chip in and buy public service announcements to be broadcasted throughout the rest of the country, "NY is cold and expensive, stay home!" i just can't believe some morons from some place down south who actually said that they didn't realize they'd need scarves and gloves in NY. um, do you see the snow? or you think we painted it on your tv screen only and it's really 85 degrees today. i bet at least half of the idiots taking pictures of the Rockefeller Center tree have something at least that big growing in their back yard. you could have saved thousands by staying home and taking pictures in your own yard. seriously, send your kids to college instead. then may be they'll have enough brains not to come to NY in December.
