I'm now a year older and hopefully somewhat wiser. Haven't really inched any closer to any goals. Mostly because haven't set any goals, because don't know what I want to do with my life and don't like any of the options presented by others (have kids, go to grad school, etc.). Trying really hard not to think about lack of goals and their consequential lack of attainment.
We also booked our next vacation (to the dismay of our parents who think we throw way too much money away on going to cheap places). I'm actually looking forward to this one. We're going to Puerto Vallarta for New Years Eve. The only thing I wish we could change is not stay at All-Inclusive. My research indicates that food in PV is cheap and some of the best on the coast. Oh, well, hopefully it'll translate to what we'll be fed at the hotel. Also hoping to buy some local art (the city is known for its galleries and art shows) and still have enough for some post-Christmas shopping back home.
I've been very good and frugal lately and can't wait to be bad again and unleash all my meager savings on the post-holidays sale leftovers. Can't wait to start, just need Misha's program to cooperate and give him some weekend calls, so that I can have the car all to myself. Hopefully that didn't sound too evil and cold-hearted.
