Totally miss living in Manhattan. It might have been more expensive but it was worth every penny. There's аbsоlutely nothing to do in Brooklyn unless you drive for about 30 minutes to the cooler parts which are just across the bridge from the real thing. Back on UES there was ton of options within walking distance - 3 movie theaters, million of restaurants and bars, shopping, dance and comedy clubs... Now the closer movie theater is always sold out on weekends, so we drive for 20-30 minutes across Brooklyn to someplace where we don't have to fight for seats. We've been here for almost 5 months and are yet to find a good Mexican or Italian restaurant. By the time we get to the other side of the borough (where all the happening places are) and find parking, we're too frustrated to enjoy the night out and just want to go home. I rather pay higher rent and live in a place that offers everything I want within 10 blocks.
