Why does every one have things done "professionally" these days?? Honestly -- since when did it become too difficult to paint your own nails? Or clean you own house? Or teach your children to swim? Or walk your own dog? Or plant your own garden? It seems to me that we have become such a service ecomony that we now pay people to do all the things my grandparents did for themselves. I feel like there is something wrong with me (or that I am..boohoo...simply too poor!) if I attempt anything on my own. Give me a break already. Not everything needs to be done professionally. Jeesh.
Only someone in the middle of Ohio (and that's exactly where this woman lives) would consider pedicure a luxury and as simple as toe painting. Have I also mentioned that she's a housewife, thus her immediate responsibility is the house, children, dog and garden. I'm willing to bet that her grandparents (and her) don't work 60 hours a week and then had to spend their weekends running around to pick up/drop off dry cleaning, do grocery shopping/laundry/cooking, etc. We barely have time to see friends and family as it is. I can only imagine what she looks likes if she considers hair cuts/highlighter/facials/manicures/pedicures/etc. a luxury not worth her time/money.
Someone please tell me this is not what happens when a woman becomes a housewife. I'm seriously beginning to doubt my decision to ever quit.
