Sometimes I just don't understand. I occassionally go to another board, which acts as a support forum for spouses of medical students and residents. I don't visit it too often because most of the women (and it's 99% women) who frequent it are SAHM with several kids. What I find so hard to grasp is why these otherwise intelligent women with college degrees choose to be SAHM's with more than one child while their husbands are not working or earning minimum wage. Many of them live in houses and have maxed out all possible lines of credit (I don't even know how they got mortgage in the first place). WHY? Most are young and can definitely wait a few years to start having a family. The majority of conversations are about how they feel depressed sitting home with the kids and having no money. If you already can barely support the kid(s) you already have, why do you get pregnant to have more and then whine how you don't want to work full time because that stresses you out and you can't be stressed because you're pregnant.

I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND!
