Many people have been asking lately what are Shambala Bracelets? and where did they come from?

Shambala Bracelets (also spelled Shambhala or Shambala) are among the newest and hottest trends around.  Popular celebrities like Jay Z, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Rhianna, BEyonce, Justin Bieber, Tiesto and David Guetta have been wearing these colorful beaded bracelets.

Shambala Bracelets are for both men and women.  Shambala Bracelets are a popular gift for the holidays.

These stylish crystal bracelets are inspired by Nialaya and the ancient philosophies of Budhism, yoga, meditations and it is believed to play an essential role in promoting your health and fitness.

Depending on the style, color and shape, each bracelet has built in individual meanings.

Following here is the tutorial for my "Crystal Shambala Bracelet"

MATERIALS

2 m length of nylon cord
32 x Rhinestone Spacers
1 x Shambala Bead with hole large enough to fit the cord
Beading Mat/ Beading Board
Pin
Quick drying epoxy glue
Clear Nail varnish
 

INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1

Cut a 40 cm length of cord and seal the ends with the clear nail varnish.  Once the nail varnish dries it will give a needle-like effect that will make threading the beads easier.  This will be the base/centre cord.

STEP 2

Cut a length of cord of 1 m and seal the edges with the nail varnish.   approximately 10 cm from the top of the base cord.  Follow the photographs and make a full square knot.

STEP 3

HOW TO MAKE A SQUARE KNOT

Take the cord on the left side and fold it over the central cord so it forms a loop, (see picture).  Fold the right cord underneath both the cords and up through the loop made by the left cord.  Pull both cords so the knot can tighten over the central cord.  Don't knot it too tight as the central cord needs to be able to move around inside the knots.  You have now made half a knot.  To complete the knot, repeat this step but fold the right side of the cord over the central cord and push the left cord underneath both the cords and up through the loop made by the right cord.  Pull tight.

STEP 4

Thread the first Shambala bead and tie down with a full square knot (see step 6)

STEP 5

HOW TO ADD RHINESTONE SPACERS TO YOUR KNOTS

Thread one Rhinestone spacer onto each cord and make another knot.
Continue to add new Rhinestone onto each length of cord before you start a new knot.  Continue until you have 16 knots with Rhinestones.

STEP 6

Thread the Shambala Bead onto the centre cord and continue to make a knot as before

STEP 7

Repeat step 4 until all the spacers have been used.

STEP 8

Thread a Shambala Bead, make a square knot and then tie a reef knot to finish off the two cords.  Pull tight and place a drop of quick drying epoxy on the knot.  Leave to dry and then cut off the cords.

STEP 9

Thread one bead onto each side of the central cord and make a knot at the end of each cord so the beads don't fall out.
Fold the two cords over each other and make sure the beads are at the end of the cords.

STEP 10

Take the remaining 60 cm length of cord and tie it over both the centre cords and continue to make about six or sevensquare knots.

STEP 11

Finish off the cords by making another reef knot and placing a drop of quick drying epoxy glue on the knot.  Leave to dry and cut off excess cord.
You can also make this Shambala Necklaceusing the same techniques as for theShambala Bracelet.
