why is it for man and woman only? I just don't understand it. For me, at my work place, we give each other a little pack of candies or pencils with hearts, and for the children also candies and juice. Is it bad? nobody is disappointed.

The point here is that VD has to be special.. all you recounted can be done at any occasion...And furthermore..VD is supposed to be between significant others.. Read my rant about commercialization...
