The international festival-conquest of young musicians “Fanfares of Yalta – Junior” named after Vasily Sokolik took place in Yalta (Crimea Autonomy, Ukraine) on 14 to 16 October, 2011. The conquest was one of the events of the famous International festival of wind music named after Vasily Sokolik "Fanfares of Yalta", which took place for the third time during 2011 in Yalta.

Soloists and ensembles from several countries took part in this festival-conquest. The conquest was indeed a real school of performance art, within the frames of which the event of master-classes and “round tables” have been conducted, where the issues of the contemporary wind music and effective measures of attracting the youth to the music arts were discussed.

The festival organization committee thanks the professor of Petah-Tikva Conservatory Mr. Boris Turchinsky, who kindly agreed to participate as a member of the international jury and conduct master-class for Ukrainian music teachers. We learned a lot about your Conservatory. We admire wonderful projects you are running.

We hope the musical friendship we started on “Fanfares of Yalta – Junior” festival will help us to go together further - towards new artistic achievements and heights.
