Warner Music has submitted a complaint to media regulator OfCom claiming that this weekend ‘X-Factor’ producers unfairly prioritised artists signed to Sony Music for its highly viewed final shows.
Sony, of course, owns half of Simon Cowell’s Syco company, one of the producers of the tedious telly talent contest. Even with ratings slipping somewhat this series, ‘X-Factor’ is still by far the most watched music programme on British TV, hence the desire of pretty much every mainstream pop star, however big, to guest on the show when they have something to flog.
Although Sony Music has a stake in the talent show, OfCom rules mean that the major can’t overtly use it as a promotional platform for its own acts, so producers usually go out of their way to ensure artists from the other three majors are represented. However, four of the six artists to guest on the final two editions of ‘X-Factor’ for 2011 this weekend came from Sony labels.
That said, three were former ‘X-Factor’ contestants who have gone on to have successful pop careers, so their presence was possibly editorially justified, though two of them – JLS and One Direction – were former losers, arguably rendering the final votes the shows were staged to host pointless.
According to The Guardian, who reported that Warner had filed a complaint with OfCom ahead of this weekend’s ‘X’ shows on Friday, insiders at the major were particularly pissed off that former ‘X’ winner Leona Lewis appeared, as she has no current album to promote, and some reckon her terrible cover versions EP, released on Friday, was put out just to capitalise on her ‘X-Factor’ guest spot.
Noting that the fourth Sony act to guest was Westlife, The Guardian quoted an ‘industry insider’ as saying: “‘The ‘X-Factor’ final should feature the biggest acts in the world. Leona Lewis is already frankly on the way down. JLS and One Direction have already been on this series, and you have to question the choice of Westlife”.
Warner’s complaint was specifically against ITV, the actual OfCom licence holder here, and accused the commercial channel of failing to exercise proper editorial control over its pop talent show. The Guardian suggested that Universal Music may also submit a complaint, though given three of the current ‘X-Factor’ judges are signed to its labels, plus Universal enjoys a good relationship with ITV as the producer of most of the channel’s other prime time pop specials, that actually seems unlikely.
Syco and ITV have already disputed Warner’s claims, pointing out that over the whole series Universal artists had the most exposure on the show this year, that most of the Sony acts to appear are editorially relevant former ‘X’ contestants, and that both Warner and EMI had three acts each on the programme, including one each on the final weekend.
In amongst all that promotion and product placement, the final two stages of the talent contest were able to occur, with Little Mix being declared the overall winners of this year’s competition. Their cover of the Damien Rice song ‘Cannonball’ is out today, meaning it will have to stay top of the singles chart for two weeks to be Christmas number one, the festive chart coming out on Christmas Day this year.

David LaChapelle has stolen my painting “American Jesus”
from my home at 553 S. Windsor. What follows his how he went about this act. David is far more interested in money than art! Rihanna was forced to settle with photographer after he sued the star claiming her “S&M” video contained direct copies of his provocative pictures. LaChapelle alleged that the video copied his poses, lighting, wardrobe and props.
He launched a media campaign and lawsuit against Rihanna and her label, Def Jam, and asked for $1 million in damages.LaChapelle said This is not personal, it’s strictly business,
David LaChapelle took my painting”American Jesus ” while I was in the hospital recovering from a fire that engulfed my home almost killing me. He took the photo to restore it and now refuses
to return it. Both Mr LaChapelle and Fred Torres, his business associate, removed the painting from my residence on the pretense they were going to repair it then simply kept my picture . It is theft and I have reported this Art Theft to the LAPD. They claim I owe them a certain amount for the picture which is ludicrous. If I did not pay for this image why is the only bill I have for it is $4000 for repairs from the fire. If I did not pay for this painting why is there no other bill? David you know very
well why there is no other bill, being the businessman you are! There is no other bill for this painting because like so many of your works you requested to be paid for this picture in cash!

The Medical Board has used as their sources for information concerning me the following individuals:
Dr David Charles Rish. Rish,as reported to the police, stole a huge number of charts from my office. He is telling all my patients that Muhammad and Jason are not guilty of anything..Furthermore , he has released privileged and erroneous information concerning my health which violates Hipaa in that he is my treating dermatologist for simple skin things When he left there were numerous copies of Jason and Muhammad's phone number's on his desk. Rish had negotiated with Muhammad and Jason that his overhead remain at the level it was in 1984,It should be indicated that Rish was the doctor from my office majorly treating Michael Jackson during May of 2009 .
Ilya Reyter is another Physician who worked in my office
and held no compensation agreement with me. He left claiming he was only going to do a Skin Cancer fellowship but last seen he was practicing in Pasadena, West LA and Westlake Village. Furthermore he held many meetings with Muhammad who made an agreement for a monetary draw of which I was I was unaware. He held a financial agreement with Muhammad I never made. Dr Reyter was the other Physician treating Michael Jackson in May of 2009.
Finally we have Jason Pfeiffer speaking out about me. Does it matter that this man(?) opened 41 fake accounts in my name, embezzled well over 5 million dollars, attempted to kill me and is driving around town in Kathy Hilton’sBentley which I paid for. Maybe Jason would like to know that we found the fake W2 and soon the IRS will come to visit you. Lest I forget what about the fake paperless Amex card you opened charging it to me or all those play toys you flew in for your pleasure What about your insane travel expenses you billed me. And all those terrible stories about me and the absolutely fabricated tale about your relationship with Mr Jackson. Might I add that relationship occurred only once when you were driving Michael home from a long visit in my office. If this occurred then have you not broken some laws concerning your supposed actions?

Абсолютно понятно, что по прошествию двух с половиной лет после дня Х бесполезно начинать блог с постов про ПК 05 марта 2009 года или с рассмотрения фильма-ключа ТИИ склепанного якобы из последних репетиций Масе...Все уже давным давно рассмотрели широкоплечего, моложавого парня с конфы и посадили зрение пытаясь высмотреть двойников в ТИИ, сличая то штаны, то прическу, то телодвижения основного персонажа в разных временных отрезках. Чем только не занимались следователи хоукса МД, преследуя цель понять, найти...вернуть...ЕГО...
У меня совершенно нет желания описывать первые этапы...азы =) ...то с чего начинали наверное все те, кто посвящает свое время в сети хоуксу Майкла Джексона...
Множество перерытой информации... бессонных ночей... и на сегодняшний день твердое убеждение, что Майкл Джексон ЖИВ- это то, что я имею открыв данный блог... Я отслеживаю все новости в СМИ, на фейсбуке, твитере, а так же весь видео материал касаемый данной темы. Этим я планирую заниматься здесь...
