Конские бобы с грибами и грудинкой

 

4 чашки порезанных свежих грибов; 4 чашки конских бобов; 1 небольшая луковица, порезанная; 4 зубчика чеснока, измельчённых; ½ чашки мелко порезанной грудинки; 4 ст.ложки оливкового масла; соль, чёрный молотый перец  Отварите конские бобы в течение 5 минут, слейте воду, остудите. Острым ножом надрежьте кожицу каждого боба и осторожно выдавите каждый боб из кожицы.  В тяжёлой сковороде разогрейте оливковое масло и обжаривайте вместе лук, грудинку и грибы, пока грибы не станут мягкими и не подрумянятся. Добавьте чеснок и готовьте ещё пару минут. Добавьте бобы, посолите и поперчите. Готовьте, помешивая, ещё 5 минут.  Подавайте блюдо тёплым или комнатной температуры.

Слово это созвучно для нас с итальянскими мотивами и отменным вином, работами великих кинематографистов и мастеров прозы. Она подается по будням на завтраки и присутствует на праздничных столах. Ее популярность может составить конкуренцию любому привычному для нас блюду, а готовить ее умеют практически в каждом доме. Десятки наименований пицц предлагают своим посетителям меню ресторанов и закусочных. А количество пиццерий в наших городах зачастую превышает число заведений, предлагающих блюда национальной кухни. Но многим ли из нас известна история пиццы? И многие ли знают, что любимое всеми кушанье имеет отнюдь не итальянские корни? Придумана в Греции И действительно, то, что привычно считается национальным итальянским блюдом, когда-то было заимствовано у греков. Которые, помимо всех известных нам талантов, славились еще и как отменные хлебопеки. Именно они первыми стали укладывать сыр на плоские лепешки из пресного теста, а придуманное блюдо именовать «плакунтос». Масса легенд с тех пор рассказывается о прототипе современной пиццы. В одной из которых утверждается то, что при увеличении состава ингредиентов «плакунтос» назвали «плакета», а сами изменения внесены были римлянами. В другом толковании истории говорится о римских легионерах, которые по возвращении из Палестины привезли полюбившееся блюдо «пицеа», имевшее вид плоского хлеба с сыром и овощами. Найдены описания аналогов современной пиццы и в древней книге «Апиция». Одна из глав которой повествует о блюде, состоящем их теста, на котором размещается сыр, чеснок, оливковое масло, мясо, орехи, перец и мята. Томаты, пиццайоли и американская пицца «А как же томаты?»- спросите вы. И в правду, представить пиццу без этого ингредиента современному человеку очень сложно. Однако не стоит забывать о том, что помидоры в Европе появились многим позже римских легионеров, а в описываемое блюдо стали добавляться только в XVII веке. Каньо Кристалес (Caño Cristales – Кристальная река) или Река пяти цветов, как ее называют местные жители,

It feels like a new day in Raidersland, and Rolando McClain was the perfect player to christen the mood on Monday.

A day after one of the Raiders' strongest, loudest performances in years, McClain ambled into the locker room and chatted with the media -- all while carrying his infant son in a portable car seat.

Just win + baby.

"Don't think he likes the media, either," McClain said as his son fussed a bit.

McClain said this with a chuckle, a sly reference to the middle linebacker's own usual public reticence.

Eros Correa of San Jose moved a step closer to the London Games on Monday by scoring a 14-11 decision over Jason Lavigilante of Mauritius in his debut at boxing's World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Overfelt High-San Jose graduate is scheduled to face David Ayrapetyan of Russia on Monday in the second round of the light flyweight (108 pound) division. Ayrapetyan is a 2009 World Championship silver medalist. Correa, 18, needs two more victories to be guaranteed a berth at the 2012 Summer Olympics but he also could qualify by winning his next bout, depending on other factors in the tournament.

In only his second international fight Correa fell behind 5-4 after the first round. But he rebounded in the second round that led to two standing eight counts against Lavigilante.

Did you hear about that recent study which concluded that a man’s testosterone level dips after becoming a father? Yep. And the more active the dad, the greater the dip. Given that I’ve got four kids under the age of four and five kids total, I suppose that means my testosterone level is kinda like that old Robert Downey Jr. movie.

I wrote about the study over at Babble. You know, since I’m this super-important parenting pundit and all. So important, in fact, that my piece was quoted by the New York Times. (Incidentally, they used my wrong name — I guess they hadn’t heard that I go by Nutsack Rogers these days.) The quote they went with?

 

“I’ve not morphed into a woman.”

 

Which was really reassuring to my inner circle. Even so, my family and friends were still concerned about my plunging testosterone level. Or so I’ve gathered from the outpouring of comments and questions such as the following one, which I received via text.

 

Hey, Nutsack, can you still pop a woody?

 

While decency prohibits me from directly answering such a crass question, I am willing to offer the following: Nutsack is still able to do his fair share of unassisted Rogering, thank you very much.

Некоторые уверяют, что лысина сегодня в моде. Неудивительно, что большинство из сторонников такого взгляда сами лысы. И интересно, как бы повели они себя, если б в один прекрасный день нашлось средство недорого и быстро восстановить естественную растительность на голове. Увы, до сих пор, несмотря на обещания рекламы, такого способа не существует. В лучшем случае это обойдется «в копеечку», а в худшем – еще и не принесет результата.

А между тем, к примеру, у людей, с наследственно обширными залысинами, передаваемыми по наследству, в волосяных фолликулах, сохраняются полноценные стволовые клетки. Им не хватает лишь сигнала, команды начать рост. Недавно ученые сообщили, что им впервые удалось идентифицировать ту самую сигнальную молекулу. А значит, любители «модных лысин» получают новую надежду.

Исследователи, возглавляемые профессором Валери Хорсли (Valerie Horsley), изучали жировой слой кожи головы: составляющие его адипоциты растут и размножаются параллельно росту волос. При этом новые клетки жировой ткани образуются из клеток-предшественниц, которые, как обнаружили ученые, вырабатывают молекулы PDGF. Это белок, известный фактор роста, стимулирующий развитие новых клеток и рост тканей. И, что особенно важно сейчас для нас, - рост волос, как это показала Валери Хорсли и ее коллеги на лабораторных мышах.

Таким образом, клетки-предшественницы жировых адипоцитов стали основными подозреваемыми на роль невидимых дирижеров роста волос, и теперь ученые намерены присмотреться к ним повнимательнее. Для начала стоит проверить: быть может, тот же белок PDGF уже сам по себе будет способен стимулировать возвращение и людям естественной растительности на голове.
