Making a 3D New Year Wallpaper in Photoshop
As twenty-ten draws to an end we look forward to the new year and all the fun celebrations, so I thought I’d get those creative minds working in time for the festive season. This tutorial will require Illustrator as well as Photoshop, but don’t worry if you do not have Illustrator you can easily download the PSD for that step!
In this tutorial, we’ll create a dazzling woven-like text effect, using Photoshop filters and Layer Styles. Because this effect is so busy and uses big bold fonts, it looks better when applied for 1 – 3 letters only.

1: Designing Metal Textured Grunge Background
- 1.1. Download a business card template from here.
- 1.2. Fill (G) an entire layer as the background with whatever colour you desire.
- 1.3. Add a Layer » Layer Style » Inner Shadow with 100% Opacity, 0px Distance, 0% Choke and 50px Size.
- 1.4. Paste in the 1st Grunge (Scratched) Texture and Edit » Transform » Scale it to document size.
- 1.5. Alter the Blending Mode to Darken.
- 1.6. With Image » Adjustments » Hue/Saturation, make the Saturation the lowest it can go.
- 1.7. And then with Image » Adjustments » Brightness/Contrast, make the Brightness -20.

Обозначения, спецзначки в HTML
Некоторые обозначения не входят в базовую часть таблицы кодов ASCII. К ним относятся буквы алфавитов части европейских языков, математические и некоторые другие значки. Некоторые символы, введенные в HTML документ могут интерпретироваться не так, как задумал автор - это, например, значки "<" и ">", используемые для указания тегов.
В этих случаях можно вводить нужные обозначения с помощью специальных кодов. Коды начинаются со знака "амперсанд"(&). За ним следует название символа значка либо его числовой код в десятичной или шестнадцатеричной системе. Завершает код символ "точка с запятой"(;).
В спецификации HTML указано большое количество спецобозначений, но только некоторые из них используются. Наиболее часто используемые спецобозначения приведены в таблице:
