Гораздо проще – подсчитать процент их исполнения: в среднем по пятибалльной шкале это будет где-то на «твердую троечку»… и все бы ничего, вот только… вам еще не надоело примыкать к клану «среднячков»?! Мы же не просто так здесь собрались! Мы – волшебники! И именно поэтому я предлагаю вам опробовать на деле еще одно маленькое симоронское чудо…

На самом деле, следующий ритуал просто превосходен! Он очень прост в исполнении и реализует мечту буквально в считанные дни. Конечно, здесь все зависит от глобальности желаний, поэтому прежде чем хвататься за большее, отточите свое мастерство на малом…
Для выполнения ритуала вам понадобится обычная дверь. Можно «взять» обычную межкомнатную. Сам ритуал займет минут 20, поэтому выбирайте такое время, чтобы вас никто не беспокоил.

— Загадайте желание в настоящем времени, без «хочу» и отрицаний;

— Напишите его на листке бумаге (любом) и возьмите скотч или другую клейкую ленту;

— Войдите в комнату, закройте дверь и прикрепите свой лист с желанием скотчем к двери (куда угодно);

— Встаньте у двери и прочитайте выразительно вслух свое желание, затем откройте дверь и воодушевленно перешагните через порог (так, будто ваша мечта уже воплотилась в жизнь!);

«Воодушевленное перешагивание через порог» – это очень важный момент! Подойдите к нему творчески: улыбайтесь, улюлюкайте, да хоть прыгайте от счастья. Во-первых, вы от души повеселитесь, а во-вторых, войдете в состояние парения (всем известно, что от него до исполнения желания рукой подать).

«Хорошо, а причем тут ДВЕРИ желаний?» – удивится внимательный читатель. И правильно, между прочим, сделает!

Если стираете в машинке, то при стирке к обычному порошку можно добавить порошковый отбеливатель или влить в отделение для предварительной стирки немного жидкого отбеливателя.

I've been a fan of Free People for ages, mainly because of their perfectly bohemian aesthetic and super cool warehouse headquarters (thanks instagram for reminding me daily of where I DON'T work). I always tune in for their WednesDIY on the Free People blog, so when they asked me recently if I wanted to guest post for today's DIY I couldn't say no - check out the DIY Fishtail Skirt I made for them.

We also thought it would be lovely to feature one of their DIYs here. Free People blogger Julia (um, best job ever?) did this amazing natural dyes project which I knew you would love.

I have always wanted to experiment with natural dyes and on a gloomy day in September I decided that it was time. This is such a fun, environmentally friendly project that takes a little bit of time, but very little cash.

There are a number of plants that can be used to make natural dyes, but for my first go-round I chose to use fruits and vegetables that I picked up at a local market.

What I got: red cabbage, lemons, oranges, beets, yellow onions, blackberries, blueberries, spinach.

*It’s important to remember when working with natural dyes that experimentation is key – depending on the amount of ingredients you use and how long you leave a garment in the dye, the color you get can vary.

For pinkish/red dyes:

Beets and blueberries can make a really lovely dusty rose color.

Easy No Sew Fleece Blanket Edging

What a week I have had – some good and some not so good. How about I start with the good.
I think I mentioned the Joann’s fabric store in Grand Island, NE. is having a liquidation sale as they are opening a new store in another location in town and I guess they are not moving any of the merchandise from the old store to the new one so they have had very good sales going on. I purchased the anti-pill fleece in 2 yard segments to make single layer throws for my daughters, sons in law and grand children – 8 in all. I didn’t want the throws to get too heavy so that is why I only used one layer for each.

I found directions on the internet for making the throws without the knots you usually see. This edging looks more like a woven or crocheted edge. I pretty much followed the directions on Helping Little Hands blog with a few changes of my own to make the 8 throws.

Here are the step by step photos and directions I used to make them. I purchased Anit-Pill Fleece in 2 yard cuts…wanted the throws to be able to be washed and dried without getting pills which make fleece ugly and not so cozy.

Step 1 I trimmed the selvages off and straightened the ends. This part is not difficult as they don’t have to be perfect rectangles. The fabric always is wiggly so who is going to know if it is a llittle off square one way or another.

Step 2 - Cut 1” slits around the entire edge and a 2” square out of each corner. The 1” cuts are 2” deep. I stuck a piece of painters tape 2” in from the edges of the fleece, laid the straight edge of the fleece on one of the lines of my cutting mat then used the rotary cutter to eyeball cutting every inch. If it did not come out even in 1” increments I eyeballed to the end of where I

[304x204]was cutting and either added a little to each 1” fringe or subtracted a little so I wouldn’t have a really skinny or really fat strip at the corners. I did cut through 2 layers at a time and it was no problem to keep my cuts even. The tape really helped and cutting into it a little at times didn’t dull the rotary

I shared this sweater refashion at Me Sew Crazy last week. I am posting this here today just in case you missed it!

{You will need}

Sweater
Fabric
Laces, Ribbons and buttons
Matching thread

{How to}

1. Wear the sweater and decided how high you want the triangles to go. For example, just below the bust line or a few inches below the bust line. Also, mark the center with a pin.

2. I made a triangle template out of a cereal box and cut 8 triangles out of the fabric. The size of the triangles all depend on how long you cut into the sweater. If you want a more flared look, make sure that the triangle has a wide bottom. If you want a subtle flare, the triangle needs to have a narrow bottom.

3. Start making the cuts to the sweater. I made 8 cuts in all. In the center on the front and back, just to either side to those center cuts, and the sides of the sweater. They are about 4" apart, but you need to adjust that according to the width of the sweater. Just make sure that they are equal and well balanced.

Here’s the supply list for a 3” Ribbon Rosette:

Chipboard… this can be recycled cardboard from packaging and/or cardstock. I prefer 1/8” thick or better.
Paper piercing tool and snips and/or Japanese Hole Punch and snips.
Ribbon… I prefer 1/2” or wider, approximately 4 feet of ribbon is needed for a 3” ribbon rosette.

Bias Tape Maker from a cutter

Hi! This post is to share my recent discovery when I came across a bias tape maker in Susie Can Stitch. I''m still learning to sew and seeing the cute little bias tape maker she have...make me want to have one too!...even though I haven't decide what to do with bias tape...but making them looks so much fun.

Since I don't have a bias tape maker...so, I just sort of 'make' one.... This is how I do it...

Material : Craft cutting blade, some fabric straps, hair straightener (yup...)

These are what I have on hand

У меня никак не получались настоящие сырники, пока не попробовала вот этот рецепт.

На три пачки творога (5-9%) - 2 яйца, 3-4 столовых ложек манки, соль, сахар и ванилин по вкусу. Манки может понадобиться и больше или меньше. Надо положить столько, чтобы при жарке сырники не расползались.

Все компоненты смешиваем и даем постоять минут 15-20, чтобы манка набухла. Жарим, предварительно обваляв в муке с двух сторон до золотистого цвета. Если в муку для панировки добавить совсем немного манки, то получится хрустящая корочка. В тесто для сырников можно добавить изюм.
Подавать сырники горячими со сметаной или с вареньем – кому как больше нравится.
