The Rasmus будут отмечать свое 15-летие творческой деятельности выступлением в спортзале Suutarila High School, в понедельник, 23 ноября. Первый в истории концерт The Rasmus прошел в стенах этой школы в 1994 году на Рождественской вечеринке.
«Это была моя задумка. Прошло уже 15 лет с нашего выступления в этом спортзале, насквозь пропитанном запахом пота», - рассказал Лаури журналу Rytmi.
«Мне кажется, это хорошая идея – вернуться сюда и отыграть концерт для учащихся и приглашенных гостей. Хотелось бы пообщаться с теми, кто присутствовал на том самом первом нашем концерте», - продолжает Лаури.
Во время обучения, никто не относился к группе серьезно, все считали, что молодые люди таким образом привлекали внимание девчонок. И это тоже было веской причиной.
«В те времена мы были жутко самоуверенными. И возможно для всех, кто знал меня, было сюрпризом то, как я был взволнован, выйдя на сцену»
«Правда в тот вечер мы не исполняли своих песен, только кавер – версию песни Kummeli’s Han-mies. Мне казалось, что она намного лучше, чем песня моего собственного сочинения – Myself. И еще исполнили «Polly» - Nirvana…и всё», - засмеялся Лаури, интересуясь, можно ли будет снова в этот раз сыграть песню Kummeli.
«Да, эта песня – точно бриллиант, надо спросить у группы, что они думают по этому поводу. В любом случае, возвращение в спортзал принесет только позитивные эмоции. Конечно, это будет уже не то «взрывное» выступление, но что-то похожее, в таком же духе».
Лаури сожалеет, что не сохранилась одежда с их первого выступления – а то, было бы смешно.
«Трудно вспомнить, во что мы были тогда одеты, но, бьюсь об заклад, это был стиль грандж. И еще разноцветные волосы».
«Да, жаль, что мы выбросили эту легендарную одежку. Сейчас было бы самое время ее снова надеть», - подвел итог Лаури.
