-Наше шоу – это игра в шахматы.. - говорит создатель и продюсер GG Джош Шварц. – Чак и Блэр – король и королева, а все остальные, кроме Серены, - пешки…

-Всё это похоже на математическое уравнение… - рассказывает сопродюсер Стефан Саваж.

-А уж поверьте, - добавляет Шварц. – Нет ничего сложнее для сценаристов, чем решать математику…

Саваж рассказывает о событиях, которые совсем недавно были показаны на экране… В любом другом популярном сериале такие сюжеты раскрывались обычно на протяжении нескольких эпизодов. Но руководство сериала вскоре поняло, что успех «Сплетницы» и заключается в «очень быстро рассказанной истории»… именно поэтому продюсеры отказались от растягивания многих эпизодов… что довольно неплохо отразилось на рейтингах и количестве зрителей…

Также продюсеры поведали нам немного о героях сериала:

-Серена и Блэр – роковые женщины… - говорит Шварц. – Все события связаны с ними и завязаны на них.

-Сейчас мы делаем дугу в борьбе Чака и Блэр… – продолжает Саваж. – А вся эта динамика в их отношениях – любовь, сменяющая ненависть, и отвращение, сменяющееся притягательностью – всё это будет продолжаться…
Ко всему прочему, Шварц и Саваж рассказали о том, что «Сплетница» находится не под стольким влиянием «полувзрослых» романов Сесилии Вон Зигезар, по мотивам которых снят сериал… На самом деле, на сериал повлияли такие работы, как романы Эдис Вартон и Эвелин Вох, как фильмы, вроде «Марии Антуанетты» Копполо и мелодрамы 50-х годов Дугласа Сирка, а также великие произведения Шекспира…

Ведь под маской шутливых и порой пошлых сцен спрятано множество философских и жизненных вопросов… над которыми создатели сериала нам советуют задуматься…




Действительно ли эксцентричный денди Чак Басс – воплощение зла? И может ли он по-настоящему любить? Или, например, Дэн Хамфри… бруклинский парень из рабочего класса… Действительно ли он – единственный здравомыслящий среди безумцев? Или он - всего лишь насмешка над благоразумием? У Серены начнутся отношения с художником, что довольно сильно расстроит и возмутит Дэна. Дженни, за столь короткое время ставшая похожей на 35-летнюю наркоманку, будет и дальше продолжать выяснение отношений с миром моды… Не смотря на прежде однообразную роль, Нейт получит достаточно большую индивидуальную сюжетную линию, и думаем, порядком удивит вас…
В попытке вернуть зрителей Ванессы, она таки получит давно уже намечавшуюся сюжетную линию…

The ballet, the Philharmonic, the Opera, everything is here. It may be on the Upper West Side (shh! Don’t tell anyone) but it’s one of Blair’s most favorite places in the city.

Geez. Where do I even begin? This week has been crazy busy (we can partly thank the Humphrey/van der Woodsen families for helping with that). It seems like I have been blogging nonstop. But let’s be honest, I don’t care! I welcome the drama with open arms. The more the merrier.

Poor Blair. All she wanted was to be there for Chuck. She even showed up to the reading of Bart’s will. It was the time we were all waiting for. What was Bart going to leave Chuck? Well, surprisingly, he left him 51% of Bass Industries (aka a majority share aka practically the whole thing). Everyone was shocked. Including Chuck. But no one was more shocked than Chuck’s uncle Jack. Bart even left Chuck a letter he wanted Chuck to read. Though, Chuck was skeptical. There must be a catch to all this. Bart couldn’t honestly have faith in Chuck that much. Blair began to read the letter from Bart and it was actually really nice. It stated that Bart’s goal was always to prepare Chuck for taking over the company. Chuck thought this all must be a mistake. Did his father truly trust him and believe in him? Wow.

Chuck started to like the idea of heading Bass Industries. Although, Jack wasn’t so sure that was a good idea. I mean this wasn’t some afterschool job. This was a big deal. But Chuck was certain about taking over and you know no one ever stood in the way of Chuck. With Blair’s help Jack decided to throw Chuck a party. Or rather a brunch to congratulate him on the new gig. Of course, Jack’s intentions were not good. The night before the brunch Jack propositioned Chuck with a bunch of um, what’s the word for those girls? Well, I think you can guess…And as you know, Chuck Bass never turns down girls or a good time. He got wasted. And high. And who knows what else. He totally missed his brunch. Unfortunately for Chuck, Jack had invited board members to the party and they somehow (thanks Jack) found their way to Bart’s old office. Sitting in Bart’s chair was a messed up Chuck. Not exactly what you’d call a future business leader of America. They were in shock and if it were up to them Chuck would be removed as Bass Industries’ leader at once. Uh oh.

When Chuck realized the mistake he made he quickly tried to apologize. But the board members didn’t care. Blair tried to comfort Chuck but that only made him angrier. He told Blair to stop trying to play his wife! Eek. So effing rude!

Meanwhile, Dan was being weird with Serena. While he and Serena were back on, he wasn’t playing the loving boyfriend very well. Instead he was acting shady. So shady that even the Mean Girls picked up on it. They overheard Dan talking on his phone about how he’d been lying to Serena. Jackpot! The Mean Girls quickly alerted me and I put out a hit, or rather a request for more information. We had to get to the bottom of this! Unfortunately, there wasn’t much dirt on Lonely Boy. All we found out was that he ate a tuna fish sandwich for lunch. Totally disgusting, though not enough for a conviction.

But thank God for Nelly Yuki. She was still in the doghouse with the MG’s after last week’s stunt. All she wanted to do was make it up to Penelope, Hazel and Isabel. And she did. In the biggest way possible. Nelly Yuki spotted Dan and Vanessa at Dylan’s Candy Shop. Vanessa was buying sweets for her sweety (throw up). FYI it was Vanessa and Nate’s anniversary (OMG jealous!). Anyway, Dan was reckless and left his cell unattended letting Nelly Yuki able to go in and snatch it. Score!

The MG’s waited. So far Dan Humphrey was a bore. But that all changed when they received the text of a lifetime. Dan must have told Vanessa his big secret while at Dylan’s because she texted him saying: “When R Lily & Rufus back? S needs 2 know about their child. It’s not fair!” OMFG! Well, luckily for the MG’s Blair was so busy with Chuck she didn’t have time to approve their message to me. She had bigger fish to fry. So the Mean Girls sent me the dish and I served it. For all to see.

Everyone was stunned after reading the blast. Serena was speechless. Could this be true? Eric and Jenny were surprised as well. They hadn’t been getting along recently because Eric was annoyed by Jenny’s hanger-on like behavior. Whenever he wanted to spend time alone with Jonathan, Jenny was always there to tag along. Jenny was pissed that all Eric cared about was having a boyfriend. But when this huge revelation came out they realized maybe it’s because they’re sort of like siblings themselves. Makes sense they fight like that.

Serena was distraught. It was one thing to date the son of your mother’s boyfriend but to share a sibling with him too. Now that was way too much for even her. Eric tried to make things better. Spotted: S on her cell phone outside her apartment building. It looked like she was leaving a voicemail. B in the tie section at Barney’s. I doubt she’s bringing back the Diane Keaton look. Maybe she’s buying a tie for a certain someone’s father’s Will reading? D writing in his journal at Prospect Park. Looked like he had a lot of thoughts. V at Best Buy picking up a new video game. N at Plaza Florist ordering a bouquet. We hear it’s V and N’s anniversary. WTF? Puking out of jealousy. J and Jeric (obviously) drinking hot chocolate at Sant Ambroeus. Jeric was discussing their upcoming trip to DC for the inauguration. C and an older guy (we think it’s his uncle Jack) drinking whiskey at The Carnegie Club. Like uncle, like nephew.

We’ve been receiving multiple reports about Jeric+1 spottings. And by Jeric+1 I’m referring to Eric van der Woodsen, his boyfriend Jonathan and Jenny Humphrey. From ice skating at Wollman Rink to sitting ringside at the Big Apple Circus (can’t tell if I think that’s cute or lame) to going to see Billy Elliot, this interesting threesome seems to be all over NYC. I’m wondering if Jenny is actually invited or if she’s just always crashing Eric’s dates. I’m not sure if I would want my friend constantly hanging around me when I’m with my significant other. Hmm…

D&S have been spotted all over the place recently. Looks like they are totally back on. Yay! However, I give a big fat nay to the fact that we hear their parents are on a little vacay together. Gag me. Are Lily and Rufus trying it out again? Or is he just her shoulder to cry on in her time of need? Who knows? The only thing I do know is that it’s totally weird. Thoughts?

Miss me? I know. It’s been like forever. But even Gossip Girl needs to take some kind of break from all the drama (though you can bet I missed every single second I was without it!). Now I’m back and so are our favorites. Looks like we all started 2009 off with a bang. And you know me. I couldn’t be happier.

OMFG! Serena broke up with Aaron! I didn’t want to say anything because I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but that Aaron guy was way not good for Serena. They were like a totally mismatched couple. Glad to see it’s over. Though, Serena didn’t waste any time finding herself in the arms of someone new, or rather someone old. She ran right back to Dan. The two got back together faster than you could say “Adios, Aaron Rose.” Ah, it’s kind of good to have these two united again. They are totally cute (even if he is from, ugh, Brooklyn).

Chuck finally returned. Thank goodness. I was seriously worried about him. How could Chuck Bass go off the grid like that? And not even an utter about what he did on NYE? Crazy. Guess Chuck was hiding out in Thailand doing, um, Chuck kind of things (I would go into detail but the GG blog is rated PG-13 not NC-17)? When C came back, he was not in a good place. Though his uncle, Jack Bass, was in town trying to help him adjust to life without Bart. Jack seemed okay (and when I say okay, I mean in a Chuck as a twentysomething way). Chuck was still not paying any attention to the van der Woodsens so it looked like Jack was all the family he had.

Blair was desperate to get Chuck back to normal. She had told him she loved him and therefore there was no denying how much he actually meant to her. But worrying about Chuck wasn’t the only thing Blair was concerned with. She was also trying to be accepted into the Colony Club (a totally fancy, high society group with only the best ladies from the UES). Blair wanted in so badly. She was over the high school thing and wanted to fraternize with people who read the New York Times everyday (and not just the online edition!).

Meanwhile, Jenny Humphrey started at Constance again. No big deal, right? Wrong! It was miserable. Those mean girls really are mean. Jenny saw how vicious they were to Nelly Yuki and she couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. Jenny was basically the Nelly Yuki of 2008. She couldn’t let those girls get away with making NY wipe yogurt off their shoes or breaking her glasses. Jenny had a plan. With Eric’s help, she decided to take over the mean girl’s hangout: Pinkberry. Since the Met Steps were still under construction (geez, when will they finally be done?!), Pinkberry became the new and cool hangout. Jenny chose to infiltrate the place with band kids, HS debaters, science club members, you name it. The mean girls were livid. What happened to their safe haven? It was turned into a place for the ordinary and we all know the MG’s are not ordinary. Looked like Jenny and Nelly Yuki may have won that battle.

Well, almost. Penelope was not going to go down without a fight. She told Headmistress Queller that Jenny was bullying her and her friends. When Jenny was confronted she was majorly pissed. WTF? She wasn’t the bully, the mean girls were! Luckily, the MG’s aren’t very good at keeping their deepest and darkest secrets secret. They had told all of their most privy info to Nelly Yuki. Jenny confronted the girls and told them they had to back off or she’d divulge their dirty laundry (FYI Penelope sleeps with her dad’s junior partner, Hazel makes out with her cousin and Isabel, well, we don’t even want to go there). The girls had to surrender. Nelly Yuki was so excited. Now Jenny could be queen bee and she could be the number 2. Jenny was confused. That’s not what she wanted at all. Nelly Yuki admitted that was the only reason she became her ally. She wanted protection for when Jenny took over. But Jenny told Nelly Yuki she had absolutely no interest in ruling the school and would prefer to remain anonymous (I don’t get it either). And with that Nelly Yuki went back to the mean girls (I know, totally rude). But at least they now know not to mess with J.

Over in the Dan and Serena of it all, they were enjoying being back together. Everyone seemed to be happy to see them back together. Well, everyone except Rufus. And we all know why that is: Dan and Serena share a sibling! But of course, Rufus couldn’t just tell Dan that. Dan was bewildered. Why the hell did Rufus care so much about him being with Serena?
