в ночь с 3 на 4 апреля в Россию из Финляндии вернулся из эмиграции Владимир Ильич Ульянов (Ленин). И прямо у вокзала, где его встречали товарищи по партии, решил продвинуть в массы свои «Апрельские тезисы». Но более подходящей трибуны, чем бронеавтомобиль «Остин-Путиловец» не нашлось, и тогда Ильич влез на башню оказавшегося поблизости броневика. Так было положено начало традиции – призывать к революциям, стоя на какой-нибудь бронетехнике.

Ленин, не пострадал, но кузов лимузина был настолько изрешечен, что гнутая задняя часть не поддавалась ремонту. Машину списали, но так как Ильич в нее влюбился, как говорится, с первого взгляда, каким-то чудом в Петрограде ему подыскали точно такую же.  И снова нападение.  Опять нужна машина.

Ильич, наконец, решил пересесть на роллс-ройс. Правда, сделал он странный выбор. Он решил ездить на гоночном Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 1914 года выпуска. До революции этот автомобиль принадлежал одному из братьев Рябушинских и участвовал в горных гонках.
