Sailing Vessel "Pallada" from Vladivostok Leaves Pusan for Singapore
The cadets from the Russian Far East had a chance to see the sights of eastern city
VLADIVOSTOK, February 3, vladivostoktimes.com The sailing frigate “Pallada” is making the sea voyage in the Pacific Ocean. After leaving Vladivostok she arrived in Pusan and stayed there for three days; afterwards she headed for Singapore.
As RIA PrimaMedia was informed by the press service of the Far Eastern Technical Fisheries University; the cadets who are undergoing practical training aboard the famous frigate had a chance to see the sights of eastern city and learn its history.
Over hundred cadets including three girls from the Nakhodka Far Eastern Maritime School are making the training voyage under the sails of frigate “Pallada” in the Pacific Ocean.
During her training voyage “Pallada” is to call at Pusan, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Dalian. On March 23 the frigate is to come back to Vladivostok.
The frigate “Pallada” was built in 1989 at the Gdansk Shipyard, Poland. On July, 1989 the Russian flag was hoisted on her board. The frigate has sailed for 12 years and called at 101 ports in 35 countries in the world. The sailing vessel “Pallada” is registered in the Guinness Record Book as the fastest sailing vessel in the world that can pick up 18 knots.
