Taipei City -based studio HAO Design focuses on the intersection of Chinese practices and Nordic minimalism by creating aesthetic forms of living. In their recent project they transformed a loft into a playful penthouse with a lot of hidden elements that can transform space during the day.
“The master of this property likes the traditional Chinese style while the mistress likes the light and simple Nordic style. They hope to build a unique playground with a slide for their two daughters, which is also in line with the long-term use of the space.”

Born in Tehran, Sasan Nasernia began his career primarily as a calligrapher and typography artist. Exploring different avenues in Persian classical and also modern calligraphy, he has since expanded his practice to include painting, print, digital work and installation. In his search to find a personal format of calligraphy, he has found a novel way of intertwining letters and words, which he refers to as “Crazy Kufic”.
