Фонд Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, основанный матерью покойного рэппера Тупака Шакура (Tupac Shakur) Афени Шакур (Afeni Shakur), выступил с инициативой проведения кинофестиваля, который стал бы трамплином к мировой популярности для молодых талантов. Первый Tupac Amaru Shakur Film Festival состоится в ноябре этого года в Атланте. Планируется, что впредь мероприятие будет проводиться ежегодно.

Акция уже получила поддержку и одобрение актера Брюса Уиллиса (Bruce Willis), а также актрисы и рэп-исполнительницы Куин Латифа (Queen Latifah), которые вместе с Афени будут заниматься продвижением фестиваля. «Мы хотим, чтобы это событие стало ежегодным форумом для создателей фильмов всех возрастов, где они могли бы представлять свои работы», - говорит Афени Шакур, президент TASF.

Уже начался прием заявок от желающих принять участие в Tupac Amaru Shakur Film Festival. Картины должны быть продолжительностью 90 и менее минут, заявки будут приниматься до 1 октября.

Приветствую всех ценителей творчества Великого Рэппера. Недавно был несказанно удивлен, когда узнал, что однажды для своей песни "Скажи мне брат" Многоточие подчистую украли у Тупака бит из его работы "Hell 4 A Hustler".
Немножко поковырялся в сети и нашел обе песни (архив 10,3MB, внутри - два mp3 файла): действительно биты ПОЛНОСТЬЮ идентичны (хотя исполнение нащих соотечественников, естественно, и рядом с читкой Тупака не стояло). Знает ли кто-нибудь подробности истории с этим наглым плагиатом? У нас в России действительно всем глубоко наплевать на авторские права и элементарные нравственные нормы, или какая-нибудь студия-босс Многоточия исхитрилась купить разрешение на использование бита?

В основном это, конечно, вражда между самим Тупаком и Ноториусом Би.Ай.Джи. Раньше они были близкими друзьями. Они записали три песни вместе ("Running", "Get it on" и "House of pain"), и иногда даже давали совместные выступления. Но с тех пор, как Бигги подписал контракт с Паффом Дэдди, главой звукозаписывающей компании Нью-Йорка Bad Boy Ent., он изменил свое отношение к Тупаку. Сын двух активистов Черной Пантеры, Афени Шакур и Билли Гарланда, Тупак Амару Шакур был рожден в Брклине. Его родители разошлись еще до его рождения и Афени вместе с ним и маленькой сестрой вынуждена была передвигаться по стране в поисках лучшего места для жизни. Она не хотела, чтобы ее дети потеряли детство, как в свое время его потеряла она сама.

Еще в сентябре 1968 года, когда ей едва исполнилось 22 года Афени Шакур вступила в полуэкстремистскую партию черных Пантер, которая проповедовала нечто типа во- енного марксизма и рьяно боролась за права черного населения Америки. Дорождения Тупака она повидала много мест, включая даже женскую тюрьму, куда была отправлена за необоснованные подозрения в участии террористического акта в центре Нью-Йорка. Волей случая Тупак отсидел в Гринвич Вилле (Greenwich Village) в утробе матери без малого три месяца и чуть была там не родился. Однако Афени в который раз оправдали.

Раставшись с Гарландом Афени понимает, что Тупаку нужен отец и вновь вспоминает своего старого знакомого Мориса Хардинга, известного в Черных Пантерах по имени Мутулу. От него в 75 рождается сестра Тупака Секайва (Sekyiwa Shakur), а самому Мутулу в 88 дают пожизненный (60 лет) срок за ограбление инкасатора семилетней давности.Читать далее...
