Its not like a so-called cool awards show, more about having a laugh. They do it in America and no one cares thats it's for children. They just do it for fun. Most of our fans are aged 16 to 20 anyway.
Charlie left Busted to do something more credible. Will you do the same thing to McFly?
No, we're all happy in McFly. i just don't think he was happy in Busted. We don't have people writing songs for us or telling us we have to do pop stuff. If we want to change, it's on out power to do so
What's the weirdest thing a fan's done to meet you?
It's always a shock when they come all the way from smewhere like Japan. They spent all their money on plane tickets and hotels just to see us on tour. That's nuts. we used to get girls climbing up the drainpipe as well when we used to live together. We all lived in the same house for the first two years and you'd get girls trying to climb in the windows.
Was it a nuisance?
Yes, it was a pain in the *** when we were trying to watch TV. We got rid of them by shooting them with paintball guns.
You could have had someone's eye out.
No,they were only the spring-loaded ones. It was a good way of getting them out. We were good shots.

How many toilets do you have?
Quite a few. Not more then ten though. I think i've got five. Not too many. I've got quite a few guitars, it;s part of the job. I just buy guitars when i feel like having a newq one. I bought quite a few when we started but now i'm down to one a year. My favourite is my wine-red Les Paul. It's the nicest to play.
What is the strangest gig you've donw?
Getting our clothes off at G.A.Y. It was a bet with Jeremy, who runs it. He said if we were number ne we'd have to take our clothes off and it turned out we were number one that week. We didn't really have a choice. He supplied us with plenty of alcohol in advance. It went down quite well with the crowd.
What was you;r last dream about?
I woke up singing That's Thw Way I Like It. I thought i was hearing it on the TV but i woke up singing it. That was weired I've never woken up singing before.
Have you ever done a really loud fart in puplic?
All the time. I've got no problem with it. We all try to pop them out whenever we can if we're in company and then blame it on the others. If we;re being interviewed it's funny. Or in a lift.
What are the highs and lows of going to a stage school?
There aren;t any lows. i had an amazing time. i had the best time of my life there. It was better than going to the s***ty school round the corner from me, Only having to do maths three says a week was good. We sang and acted on the othe two. there were only 150 kids in my school, so you know everyone. It's like a big family and the teachers were really nice.
You were in the film Just My Luck with Lindsay Lohan. Why haven't you gone mad like she has?
We keep each other grounded. That was our first experiance of being around someone really famous. That whole Hollywood It-girl lifestyle is insane. We're not really into the whole celeb thing either. We like chilling out at home and going to our local pubs rather then the clubs in London. Doing a film was an amazing experience, though we couldn't say no.
Did you send any get well cards to her in rehab?
No, we haven't seen her since the film premiere, i don't know if we did anything to upset her.

McFly's lead singer Danny Jones is gearing up for the most nerve-racking gig of his career - presenting Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards UK this month.
Danny, who has been nominated for Best Male Singer, has never hosted an awards ceremony befoer.
"I'm really nrvous,' he told Tv Times News. "The NKCA are massive in America and the UK version will be mega.'
The awards premiere on Nickelodeon on 27 October, and have been voted for by the satellite channel's viewers. McFly will perfrom their new single on the show.
Danny, 21, adds:"We're up for Best Band and Im praying Cameron Diaz get Best Movie Actress so I can kiis her as I present her award.'

WHEN it comes to music everyone has their guilty pleasures - the band you know you shouldn't really like but can't help singing along to.
Rather embarrassingly, given that I'm a 25-year-old man and not a screaming teenage girl, Mcfly would come pretty close to the top of that list for me.
While I can't confess to actually owning any of their work I have to admit they do what they do - probably best described as a guitar-based mixture of pop, rock and punk - extremely well.
That was certainly the case last night when the four lads, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, thrilled hundreds of fans at a sold-out Ipswich Regent with a characteristically energetic performance.
The band were back in town as part of their Greatest Hits tour - rather surprising you might think given they've only been going since 2004.
But with 12 top ten singles, including seven number ones, and three multi-million selling albums there is definitely enough material to go around.
From the moment they bounded on stage and broke into opening track That Girl, it was clear we were in for a good time.
Stopping briefly to say hello to Harry's dad, who was hidden away among the throng of ecstatic teenage girl fans, they then launched into a string of hits, including the raucous Friday Night, 2004's Obviously and the foot-stomping Star Girl.
Half an hour in, they whipped the crowd into an even bigger frenzy with new single The Heart Never Lies, and a fantastic version of Rhianna's summer hit Umbrella. This was followed by All About You, Please Please and Room on The Third Floor, which threatened to blow the roof off the newly-refurbished theatre.
An encore of Don't Stop Me Now and their debut hit Five Colours in Her Hair ensured no-one went home disappointed. Unfortunately it looks like I'll be singing their songs for a little while longer.
Where did you wake up this morning?
In my own bed, naked, with my tour manager knocking on my door because I was late. So I didn't have a shower or clean my teeth. I went straight downstairs and jumped into the car and fell back to sleep.
Who did you last receive a text from and what did it say?
It was from my sister, asking if I wanted to go to a Melanie (ancient US singer/songwriter) concert.
Apart from your home and car, what is the most expensive thing you've ever bought?
My recording studio. I run one of my own. The whole thing came to about 15 grand.
What do you most dislike about yourself?
The thing I hate most about myself is my mouth. And my ***. I've got freckles on my ***. Only a few, some pimples too. I should go on the sunbed, but that might make them worse. Enough said.
When was the last time you cried?
I think the last time I cried was watching Blood Diamond. I don't often go to the cinema but I loved it. I was in the moment.
What was the last lie you told?
I told Dougie he was very good looking last week. And he's not. [Laughs.]
When were you last naked in front of another person?
It was in front of Flea, Dougie's dog. And Dougie. I'm always naked in front of Dougie - I don't know why. Oh, and Gordon Brown when he was on tv this morning.
If you were invisible for a day, what would be the first thing you'd do?
I'd go into the Houses Of Parliament and see what really goes on. Then I could maybe scare Gordon Brown in person.
What's been the most embarrassing moment of your life?
I don't really get embarrassed for myself, but I was embarrassed for Harry when he fell off stage. That made me go very red...for him.
Ever been chatted up by another celeb?
I never get chatted up by celebrities because no one really fancies me! Bring it on, ladies! Oh, I did by the gay lad off Shipwrecked, Joe Stone. It was in Funky Buddha. He was being a bit flirty...
ADORED by their millions of fans, McFly are returning to Ipswich tonight.
Entertainments reporter JAMES MARSTON asks what's so special about McFly?
SCREAMING fans must be something you get used to.
For McFly, popularity has never been a problem and today, as they prepare to sell out once again at Ipswich's Regent theatre they can rest assured they will make a lot of young people very, very happy.
But why are a group of four lads commanding such attention? Have they just been cleverly marketed or is their talent lurking beneath the hype?
Hazel Clover, manager at the Regent said: "Of course they are a bunch of good looking young lads and that's always popular with female audiences. They always sell out the Regent and have been continually well received here in Ipswich. The audience is always a mixed bag and McFly appeal across the ages.
"McFly have maintained their appeal and are a band of the moment."
Miss Clover said the four strong group are friendly and easy to work with.
She added: "They give a lot to their fans and they are a group of very pleasant young men. They make themselves accessible. It is always a fantastic atmosphere when they come to the Regent, we are lucky to have them here.
The group was first launched into the music scene in early 2004 with their number one single, Five Colours in Her Hair.
Founded by Tom Fletcher the band also consists of Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd.
McFly has enjoyed a string of hits in both the singles and album charts and next month they are due to release their greatest hits album.
Hazel said: "They play their own instruments and they are a talented group. They are great performers and they really entertain and involve the audience. Their act is vibrant, exciting and colourful."
McFly is expected to rock The Regent with their catchy songs and high energy pop act,
Tom recently said: "There's nothing like us around. People need pop music. We've stuck around, we've stuck through this bad time for pop music and our fans have stuck with us. Now we're back, doing exactly what we want to do. It really feels like this is what we should be doing."
Fans will readily agree.

Why did you want to take part in the show?
Tom: We thought it would be fun…….we were wrong!
Dougie: I didn't
Had you experienced any paranormal activity before you took part in the show?
Tom: No, not really. Harry saw a ghost once, and Dougie and I saw a UFO.
Dougie: I once saw the ghost of a cat's bum.
Danny: No never.
Dougie, you seemed to be the most scared during the trip. Did you anticipate this?
Dougie: Well, I bought 10 pairs of boxers in case.
What was the scariest location you visited and why?
Tom: The mine - it was pitch black, wet and underground.
Dougie: The mine, because it was cold damp and very dark.
Harry: The castle, because it felt like we were in a real horror movie.
Danny: I think it was when I was in the hut in the forest on my own, I shat myself!
What was the most positive part of the show for you?
Tom: When it was over and we got back to the hotel.
Dougie: None of it.
Harry: Taking part in everything that I was asked to.
Danny: When Dougie ran into the wall in the lead mine.
Was there any part during the experience where you nearly walked out?
Tom: No, I wanted to finish the night.
Dougie: The whole thing.
Harry: Yes, once.
Danny: No, I wanted to go through with it all.
Tell me about the Ouija board experience?
Tom: The Ouija board wasn't so bad, it was the stones being thrown at us that was f*cking scary!!
Dougie: It sucked, I crapped my pants.
Danny: Scary.
How did you find working with Yvette?
Tom: She was very nice in the end. Weird, but nice.
Dougie: I think she's a witch and she keeps trolls locked up in her house.
Harry: She was great fun, awesome.
Tom - When at the castle you felt like you were being pushed. Why did you not tell Yvette about this as it was happening?
Tom - It was weird, but I wanted to be pushed harder and I thought if I told someone about it, it might stop.
Are you glad you took part in the show?
Tom: Yes.
Dougie: No.
Harry: Definitely.
Danny: Very glad, it was a great experience and I would love to do it again.
Do you now believe there is something out there?
Tom: Maybe…..we'll have to come back and do it again to find out.
Dougie: Yes.
Harry: Definitely.
Danny: Something! Don't know what though?
Have you had any further paranormal experiences since taking part in the show?
Tom - Not yet.
Dougie: I keep feeling someone touching my bum, but I think it's Tom!
Harry: Dougie is a paranormal experience!
Finally, why should ITV2 viewers watch your show?
Tom: If you wanna see four wimps completely shitting themselves and running around in the dark for an hour, whilst having ghosts throw rocks at them, then this is the show for you.
You would think that being in Britain's biggest pop band would mean getting a girl would be the last of your problems.But McFly bass player and vocalist Dougie Poynter says he is having a major dry patch at the moment: "I've been blowing out with the girls big time. I have had the worst luck recently. I just keep getting knock-backs."
And guitarist and vocalist Danny Jones added frankly: "He can't get laid!"
The boys were talking to the Herald Express before going into rehearsals for McFly's Greatest Hits tour, which comes to Torquay in October and is selling out fast.

"You would have thought it would be a lot easier. But I think it's just about the same for us as it is for other boys," said Dougie, the youngest member of the band which shot to prominence in 2004 when they beat The Beatles to become the youngest band ever to debut at number one with their first album.
Dougie thinks one of the reasons for his girl troubles is his disastrous hair: "I look like a dog. My hair got really long when we were on holiday in Barbados this summer and it started to dread on its own. So I decided to get some dreadlocks professionally done when I got back home.
"This guy came to the house and did it. It looked awesome for about four days. I was so excited.
"Then after four days I woke up at about four in the morning and my head was itching. So I washed it and now I've got a massive Afro. I look weird.
"I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. I've just left it and I'm seeing what happens.
"I've just been wearing hats, but I don't think the girls like it."
And all this from a guy voted "Britain's Top Mop" in the 2005 Smash Hits awards.
So, while we're on the subject of girls, did he fancy Lindsay Lohan when fellow band member and drummer Harry Judd had his famous one-night with the Hollywood good-girl-gone-wild, when the band appeared with the actress in hit teen chick flick Just My Luck?
"It was two years ago now, but I think I fancied her. She's not really the type of girl I would typically go for."
Which celebrity is his type?
"I can't think of one. I don't really go for celebrity types. I seem to have this weird thing where every four months I get totally obsessed with one girl. I meet a girl and I just think she's the coolest thing ever created. Then I get blown out and it all starts all over again."
Danny, who is now happily in a long-term relationship, said he wasn't jealous of Harry's Lindsay Lohan experience either.
"I pulled her mate: the fitter one," he claimed.
The Hollywood experience provided the band with material for their number one: Please Please, which included the line "please, please Lindsay".
McFly's Greatest Hits Tour is at Torquay's Riviera International Centre on Monday, October 8. Tickets are still available, although there are limited places available on the balcony, which is the only place where under-14s are allowed.
