Смотрю Supernatural и Housewives.
Еще зачем-то начала пересматривать The A-Team (его в России показывали?). По прежнему умираю по Дирку!! Какой же он классный мужчина!

Про то, что смотреть в Сан Франциско тем, кто там не был.
Alcatraz – когда-то это была тюрьма для особо опасных, сейчас она не функционирует, зато можно взять билеты на паром и прокатиться до острова. Есть еще «Ночной Тур», хотя мне так и не довелось его увидеть, но говорят весьма зловеще. Взять с собой теплую одежду и удобную обувь.
California Palace of the Legion of Honor – это здание было построено в 1924 году в честь погибших в Первой Мировой войне. Было подарено городу. Отличный музей. Здесь смотреть коллекцию европейской живописи.
Chinatown – самое большое китайское поселение за пределами Азии!! Я особенно люблю храм Тин Хау на 125 Waverly Str. Кстати, для тех, кто хочет окунуться в китайскую культуру, существуют курсы от Wok Wiz Tours по кулинарии (я на них не ходила, но вдруг кто-то интересуется).
Fort Mason – тут смотреть корабль Jeremiah O'Brien
Cliff House – магазины, рестораны и классный вид на Seal Rock
Twin Peaks – на высоте 277 метров открывается круговая панорама San Francisco & neighborhood
Центральная библиотека – здание 1996 года
Louise M.Davies Symphony Hall – ультрамодернисткое здание из стекла и гранита.

Scary but true urban legends can be found in most major newspapers in every country. The fact that such scary things happen to people so often is probably a very good reason why most people believe urban legends, even when they aren’t true.
However, there’s really no need for anyone to make up fake stories when truth is often so much stranger than fiction.
1. The Dead Body Under Your Bed
Although it sounds unbelievable, this really happened in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, NJ, Florida, Kansas City, MO, and California. It seems that in or under the bed in a hotel room became very popular place to hide the recently deceased. And it’s not surprising at all if you think about it. Under the bed and the closet are the two most popular places to hide anything, so why would a corpose be such a big deal. Really, the odds are pretty good that at least once a man has killed a prostitute, tried to put her body under the bed, only to find there was already a body there.
2. The Funhouse Mummy
Well, maybe you can’t see too many frightening things in today’s funhouses, but back in the old days many unusual people and items were often on display at the carnival and the mummy was certainly one of the most popular items. People were excited to see it close up and even touch it for the price of admission to the funhouse.
Time rolled on and all the interesting items, including once-popular mummies, ended up in warehouses. One day in 1976, while a camera crew was shooting a TV show on the premises of an old amusement park, they came upon a hanging man prop. Suddenly, while they were moving it, the arm fell off and the bones inside were exposed. They realized it wasn’t the hanging man prop, but a real, mummified dead body. The mummy had been in storage for decades, but no one knew where it had originally come from. It was finally given a proper burial as a John Doe.
3. Halloween Decoration
В Чикаго я пробыла чуть ли не с неделю! А назад ехать-то надо. Глядя на карту маршрутов и дорог, я сначала планировала выбрать мега-длинный путь, пролегающий к югу США, но, побоявшись не успеть домой к 30 августа, сократила маршрут. Так мне предстояло проехать от St. Louis, Il до San Francisco, Ca, ну а там уж по Pacific Coast прямиком к дому. Самая необитаемая дорога Америки не зря называется самой loneliest, на 200 миль ни одной заправочной станции да и машины тут редки! Так что те, кто соберется ехать от одного берега до другого, приготовьтесь.
Что стоит посмотреть: Kansas City (самый крупный город в штате Миссури); Fort Larned (an excellent place to experience what the frontier really looked like); Garden of Eden in Lucas, KS; Canon City, Montrose, Delta, CO (и если не торопитесь, то в Колорадо к северу от городка Pueblo всего в ста милях столица штата - Денвер); в штате Юта из крупных городов проезжаем Delta (те, кто не торопятся, заезжают в Salt Lake City), а дальше начинается пустыня и мы в Неваде. Проезжаем Ely (для любителей экстрима рекомендую ночевку в городе-призраке Ruth, который тут совсем рядом), Austin, Carson City и смотрим озеро Тахо. И въезжаем в Калифорнию. Я в одном Сан Франциско задержалась больше, чем на неделю! Очень люблю этот город! Не зря же я раньше тут бывала довольно часто. Ну и дальше по списку: Sacramento (столица штата), Oakland, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Malibu (хотя последнее это пригород LA). По идее Hwy 1 заканчивается где-то в Санта Монике, но это уже дальше моего дома. Так что я успела приехать, как и планировалось. И с добрым утром Los Angeles!
