Thomas Morgenstern (AUT) was elected “World-Sportsman of the year” of the nordic disciplines by the members of the World Sportsjournalists Association. But the 18-year-old still has a lot of goals left. “I still want to win the overall World-Cup, a World-Championship title and the 4-Hills-Tournament. That’s what I’m working for”, he told the newspaper “Kleine Zeitung”.
Morgensterns compatriot Heinz Koch, uncle of Olympic champion Martin Koch, is the new coach at the skijumping center in Willingen (GER). During his long coaching career Koch already worked with the national teams of Austria, France and China.
