[201x382]
The name of this cross derives from a popular name for Russian women, meaning "bright," or "shining," one, and also is associated with St Photini, whose name in Greek means "light." Based on a late seventeenth or early eighteenth-century Old Believer original, the abbreviated inscriptions read: top, "King of Glory" crossbar, "Jesus Christ Son of God" and foot, "Conqueror."
On the reverse side is the Slavonic verse, "Let God arise..."
