Death Mask
When this age becomes the history
Will you come to lonesome grave,
Where poet lies depraved
Underneath the onyx cover
In the couch wreathed in memories?
Will you wish to be his lover?
Even if the one last night…
Will you give to his possession?
Act in eventide impression
Of his sensual allegoric sight?
If you could remember twilight music
Which he’d played, touching the keys so gently,
Like caressing nymph – fair and fragile blossom…
Will you write his name with magic wand
On the sand, where wild is the sea?
Is it lighthouse amidst the land of lakes?
Which beds are desolate,
They keep remains of him
Around the tower where his soul illumines
For you, the wanderer of dark cold regions…
Aye, you see, yet don’t believe your eyes…
What can you read now in his rhymes?
Some forever thoughts and riddles,
Little moon and stars, weeping of fiddles,
Savage love, compassion and decay,
Hypnotized and bare rosebud…
Or it is your heart, so vi’lently pulsating?
In the wood where languishes his blood –
Regained vitality for those who keen on art,
With lips in wait for kiss
That animates – then death-mask leers…
Admired, you leave lonesome grave renewed…

Lestat_de_Llamorte, слушай, а это тема! Я вот когда иду к остановке троллейбусной за Савеловским вокзалом, так возле перехода постоянно кто-нить стоит, памятники на могилы предлагает, с образцами. Вот им бы рекламку сделать!
