Among his other many activities he was Director, Think-tank on Medical Ethics, The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute (1995-1998); Member of the Israel Press Council (1997-2000); and Member of the Public Committee on the Dying Patient, Ministry of Health,

(2000-2002).
