Computers have not brought more problems than solutions.
Since the first computer was made in the late fifties, the technology has developed extremely. Computers which took the place of a living-room then, are now being made in
creditcard-formats. More and more areas are being taken over by the computer.
To begin with, computers are capable of handling large amounts of data in a very short time, they are well suited for wordprocessing. Under these circumstances most of the paper-archives will be replaced by magnetic tapes and diskettes. A diskette can contain much more data than a written page, and it takes less place. In other words it is possible to get all Shakespeare's writings on just one diskette.
As far as computers are concerned to modern cars,
namely navigation equipment, ride will be safer, faster, and more comfortable. As all way from point A to point B is known, the information on possible stoppers and repair work on road will be known, on roads of big cities there will be no strong gassed condition and a movement overload. This influence our ecological condition in better way.
Also , computers gave a
possibility for improving educational standards - to utilize every tool available, including state-of-the-art technology. Computers and the Internet have expanded the way in which information can be delivered to the students of today. Today's networking technologies provide a valuable opportunity to practice new learning techniques. Educators are discovering that computers are facilitating learning. Computer based communications, or Telecommunications, can offer many educational opportunities;
however, educators will need to adapt current teaching methods to incorporate this new media into the classroom.
As for health services, computers are applied there too. Computers can fill out forms, transfer phone calls and gather data, among many other abilities, all of which are useful in the health care field. In one study of patients with diabetes, it was shown that care improved when computers were used in an "automated telephone disease management (ATDM) with telephone nurse follow-up". Most diabetes care takes place in an outpatient setting, so follow-up is essential. In addition, many diabetes patients have financial problems, and have to "limit their use of outpatient services". Those who are forced to curtail their care for these reasons often experience poorer outcomes than those who manage their disease more aggressively.
Finally, today many kids have got video games. It is possible to tell that these games are the present's answer to children's board game with counters and cubes and monopoly. In a way, it is a great advantage that the kids are being presented to computers at an early age, because they will definitely have to use them later, when they start to work. In the future there will be few occupations which won't use computors, one way or another. But the videogames are often being presented as something negative, which hinder the kids from doing homework and other more useful activities. This partially true, if they do much of it. But generally, young people's contact with computers is positive.
To summarise, to have a computer at home is getting more common. It can be used almost for for every need. Nevertheless , knowing all good points of computer, we have to know the difference between a human’s lifestyle and a computer’s logic. By saying that the real danger is that we will look for shortcuts through our life and the events in our life, just as computers do, and we humans will always try to do things the easy way. In fact, the real danger is that we will get lazier and this will eventually end up having its consequences. But I believe that humans may escape from thai kind of situation.
