CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in The Sixth European Gender
Research Conference "Gender and Citizenship in a Multicultural Context"
which will convene in Lodz (Poland), August 31-September 3, 2006.

The Conference is hosted by the University of Lodz and jointly
organized by the Women's Studies Centre, University of Lodz, AOIFE (Association of Institutions for Feminist Education and Research in Europe), and ATHENA (Advanced Thematic Network in Activities in Women's Studies in Europe).
The European Conference on Gender Research is held every third year and
constitutes the broadest and the most important recurring assembly of
its kind. Previous conferences took place at the universities of: Aalborg
(1991), Graz (1994), Coimbra (1997), Bologna (2000) and Lund (2003).
