CFP: Women & Society Conference

Proposals and abstracts are being solicited for the 2005 Women & Society
Conference to be held September 23-24, 2005. This feminist conference
is interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary, covering all aspects of women
and gender being studied in the academy. The conference mentors and models feminist inquiry and scholarship for undergraduate students so joint
faculty/student papers are also considered. Undergraduate participants may attend at no cost.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

Feminism and/in the Classroom
Trauma, Narrative, and History
Same Sex Marriage
Women and Film
Reality Television
Politics of Illness and Health Care
Women's Lives and Religion
Forming Gender Identities
Transgendered Culture
Policy, Politics and Race
Food and Feminism
Sex Workers and the Sex Industry
Women and Combat
Revolutionary Women of Today
Women and Creativity
Adrienne Rich will be giving a reading on Friday evening and Paula Rothenberg will be delivering the keynote address on Saturday.
