Registration is now open for the conference 'Sociological Theories of Language in the USSR, 1917-1938', which will take place at the University of Sheffield from 9 to 11 September 2006.
The conference is a key component of the project 'The Rise of Sociological Linguistics in the Soviet Union, 1917–1938: Institutions, Ideas and Agendas', directed by Craig Brandist (see http://www.shef.ac.uk/bakhtin/projects/sociolinguistics).
