2006 International Conference of the Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies
Toronto, Ontario, Canada, June 22-24, 2006
The goal of the conference is to provide opportunities for scholarly discourse on analytical psychology, focusing on the research and theories of Carl Gustav Jung and the post-Jungians. Papers are invited on any topic that implements, utilizes, or critiques the relevance and application of Jungian and post-Jungian theory and research for scholarly study.
Topics may include (but need not be constrained to) the arts, humanities, and
sciences, such as literature, the arts, drama, visual art, myth and fairy tale, pop culture, cultural studies, education, religion, film, music, architecture, psychology, science, masculinity, and Jungian theory itself.
All perspectives are welcomed, including (but not only) modern, postmodern, post-colonial, and feminist. The conference is multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary. Key Note Speaker: Dr. Robert L. Moore, a Jungian psychoanalyst and Distinguished Service Professor of Psychology, Psychoanalysis, and Spirituality at the Chicago Theological Seminary. His five volume series on masculine psychology and spirituality (co-authored with mythologist Douglas Gillette) is the most influential theory of masculinity in today's international discussion.
