QUESTIONS IN FEMINISM AND PHILOSOPHY
> Call for papers: Society for Women in Philosophy conference, 28th April 2006.
> Keynote Speaker: Dr Miranda Fricker, of Birkbeck College, University of London, will give a paper entitled: 'Epistemic Justice: An Intellectual and an Ethical Virtue'
> SWIP invites all U.K. women for whom this conference would provide a
congenial context to discuss their work to submit an abstract. The title of the conference is "Questions in Feminism and Philosophy"; and we intend to fill at least one of the parallel sessions with papers that fall under that general heading. One-hour slots are planned; to allow plenty of time for discussion, presentations should last about 35 minutes.
> The conference is to be held in the University of London (in Stuart House, next to the Senate House), and will probably run from 11a.m. until 6p.m. The exact timetable for the day depends upon the response to this call. In early March, we shall get back to all of those who send abstracts, and post a more detailed announcement.
> If you would like to present a paper, please email an abstract of 200-400 words to Soran Reader (soranreader@fastmail.fm), with 'SWIP Submission' in the subject line, by February 10th 2006.
> ...and even if you don't submit an abstract, please note the conference date: SWIP, London, Friday, 28th April. The conference will include a meeting at which future activities of SWIP will be planned and a new executive appointed. > Messages to the list are archived at
