Metzger, Kay Hagan, Mercy Morganfield, and Juliana Borrero is now

////TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism// is an online relaunch of /TRIVIA: A
Journal of Ideas/, an award-winning international feminist literary
magazine which operated out of Montague, Massachusetts from 1982 to
1993. We publish feminist writing in the form of literary essays,
experimental prose, poetry, translations, and reviews. We encourage
women writers to take risks with language and form so as to give their
ideas the most original and vital expression possible. Our larger
purpose is to foster a body of rigorous, creative and independent
feminist thought.

General submissions for /TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism /will be accepted
year round. We are also accepting submissions for two theme issues:

1) ****The Love and Lust Issue**. "The Meaning of Our Love for Women is
What We Have Constantly to Expand" read the title of an essay by
Adrienne Rich written in the '70s. Have we expanded the meaning of
this
love in the years since, and if so, how? Given cultural phenomena like
"The L Word" and "Queer as Folk" is it still possible to argue that
love
between women is a powerful force for healing and political change?
That
lesbian desire is qualitatively different from heterosexual or
homosexual desire? We welcome narrative accounts as well as essays and
poems. Deadline: January 27, 2006

2) ****The Resurrection Issue**. Many of our most beloved and radical
writers and thinkers are no longer alive. This entire issue will be
dedicated to the lives and work of feminist writers, artists and
activists who are no longer with us. (e.g. Andrea Dworkin, Monique
Wittig, Audre Lorde, Kathy Acker, Gloria Anzaldua, Barbara Macdonald,
Susan Sontag, Matilda Jocelyn Gage, Alice Paul). We invite passionate,
critical, creative responses to them and their work in any and all
forms. Deadline: May 5, 2006.
