International Conference on Romanticism 2005: Romantic Metamorphoses and Transformations.
The International Conference on Romanticism invites scholars working in
any area of Romanticism to submit proposals for its annual conference
to be held October 13-16 at the foot of Pikes Peak in the Antlers Hotel in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. The conference theme is Literary
Metamorphoses and Transformations.
Proposals should focus on concepts such as:
mutations, metamorphoses, transformations, permutations,
transubstantiation, seduction, translation, flow, creation, conception,
birth, death, materiality, spirituality, melding, blending, distortion
and transformation of poetics and genre; religion as conversion,
perversion, fall, or repentance; adaptation, co-option, and plagiarism; repetition,
historical change, gender, engendering, childhood, unity, division, and
Romanticism into and out of other discourses.
