3. Make a slight bend in the left cord and pull through the coil from step 2.

4. Wrap the left working end in a counter–clockwise direction under the right working end and through the bend made in step 3.

5. Slightly tighten the cords. This will make a Carrick Bend; see picture 6.

6. Wrap the left cord counter clockwise and through the center of the Carrick Bend.

7. Wrap the right cord counter clockwise and through the center of the Carrick Bend.

8. Tighten the knot. Use pliers if needed.
