Sandman wakes up and knocks softly on the door

He has sleepy slippers and with them he trips along
He sneaks inside through the door and jumps behind the cupboard

And he has a sleepy hat and blue, sleepy belt
And he eats small sleepy piece of icecream with his small theeth

And he has a blue car and the carr hums like this…
And leaves toward the blue land of dreams

And a small umbrella is completely tilted
And he has under his arm a blue book of dreams

And to the blue land of dreams,
he takes children with his blue car
And to the land, there is a blue, sleepy road

And in there is a golden forest
And in the forest is a golden tree
And a blue bird of dream with a golden mouth

And the blue bird of dream lulls the children
It sings a sleepy song
