George Dmitriew was born in Murom in 1957. Graduated from the art school in 1976.

Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Painting of V.I. Surikov in 1983. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1987. The paintings of George Dmitriew are in the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, in the State Art gallery in Vixa (Russia), in the Museum of Modern Art in Taipei (Taiwan) and in public and private collections of different countries including UK, the USA, Canada, Korea, Spain, Russia, Germany, France, Denmark, Japan, Taiwan and Turkey.
