Superfun gig with @poetsofthefallband in the @alanwakeofficial launch party in Helsinki last Friday! With that show gone Poets of the Fall 20th Anniversary Tour is now totally wrapped up and moved into the archive of lovely memories! The tour itself was a blast - 25 shows, thousands of kilometres around Europe, endless bad jokes & good laughs, every single day. ♥️ The most surprising and awkward moment of this tour happened after our Stockholm show. For that particular show I got the kind of customer feedback that left me lost for words. Here is a short quote from that feedback: ”The bass player didn’t play a single note live. Neither was there even the smallest of efforts from him to place his fingers correctly or on the right strings.” I am more than baffled! And somewhat amused 😀 After years of studying music and even more years working as a bass player on a more or less professional level I just cannot figure out what went wrong that evening for someone in the audience to have felt cheated and thereby offended. Cheated and offended by a ”fake” bassist who didn’t even try to look like they were playing... 🤯 To serve all kinds of customers better and to appear more authentic in the future I can see only one solution to this problem. It is from now on to play even more wrong notes than I already do and to do it with even crazier groove! 😉 New Year’s resolution?! 2024, here we come! Have a nice week, everyone! Love & Peace! Супер-веселый концерт с @poetsofthefallband на стартовой вечеринке @alanwakeofficial в Хельсинки в прошлую пятницу! С этим шоу 20-летний юбилейный тур Poets of the Fall полностью завершен и перенесен в архив прекрасных воспоминаний! Сам тур был потрясающим - 25 концертов, тысячи километров по Европе, бесконечные плохие шутки и хороший смех каждый божий день. ♥️ Самый удивительный и неловкий момент этого тура произошел после нашего шоу в Стокгольме. Для этого конкретного шоу я получил такие отзывы от клиентов, что у меня не нашлось слов. Вот короткая цитата из этого отзыва: ”Басист не сыграл ни одной ноты вживую. С его стороны не было даже малейших усилий правильно расположить пальцы или на нужных струнах”. Я более чем сбит с толку! И несколько удивлен 😀 После многих лет изучения музыки и еще большего количества лет работы басистом на более или менее профессиональном уровне я просто не могу понять, что пошло не так в тот вечер, чтобы кто-то из зрителей почувствовал себя обманутым и тем самым оскорбленным. Обманутый и оскорбленный ”фальшивым” басистом, который даже не пытался сделать вид, что играет... 🤯 Чтобы лучше обслуживать самых разных клиентов и выглядеть более аутентично в будущем, я вижу только одно решение этой проблемы. Отныне я буду играть еще больше неправильных нот, чем я уже играю, и делать это с еще более безумным ритмом! 😉 Новогоднее решение?! 2024 год, вот и мы! Всем хорошей недели! Любви и мира!
