I know, I know, it’s nearly Summer (although with all this rain one does wonder when it will arrive!), but I have had this pattern floating around in my head for the longest time. It occurred to me that with Winter approaching in Australia, there might be a few people looking to crochet up some warm woollies. This hat is so sweet (although of course I am biased!). It might look a little complicated, but once you have mastered the puff-stitch, it is really quite easy.
Thankfully the rain does mean my little model is more than willing to don her rain boots and coat. An upside to a pretty miserable old day here in Paris! I feel sorry for all those Summer tourists! I hope they are drying out with a delicious chocolat chaud – we sure are!
I have written this pattern in a size to suit a toddler (Size 3-4). It can be easily adapted for any size by simply adjusting the crown width and height. This is a fabulous chart for figuring out the sizes that you will need.
