Не понимаю, отчего
В природе мертвенной и скудной
Встает какой-то властью чудной
Единой жизни торжество.

Я вижу вечную природу
Под неизбежной властью сил, —
Но кто же в бытие вложил
И вдохновенье и свободу?
И в этот краткий срок земной,
Из вещества сложась земного,
Как мог обресть я мысль и слово
И мир создать себе живой?

Родился в Блэдфорде в 1961 году в семье художников.
Изучал зоологию в колледже Святого Петра в Оксфорде , но большую часть своего времени он посещал занятия в художественной школе The Ruskin.В 1984 году он и его жена Кэролайн Джексон переехали в Корнуолл , где в настоящее время он живет и работает рядом с Сент-Джаст , Penwith . В своем творчестве пользуется , в основном, смешанной техникой, но есть и акриловые прелести...
Имеет степень почетного доктора (DLitt) от Университета Эксетера и является почетным членом Колледжа Святого Петра, Оксфордского университет. Он является послом Survival International и часто работает с , Гринпис , WaterAid , Oxfam , Surfers . Является академиком Королевской академии Западной Англии .
Очень близок мне этот художник...
Казалось бы, характерные английские пейзажи, но очень чувственные, с сильным настроением...
Подумалось, что больше всего меня в них привлекает? Любимая трава? Ветви деревьев, к которым я тоже не очень ровно дышу...
Нет...ВОДА ! Конечно вода, больше!:-)
