I'll be painting paradise in the Crested Butte Plein Air Invitational Artists July 2nd through the 12th. I painted this little plein air piece during the Colorado Plein Air event at Henry Meininger's place in the mountains. Sure was a fun day and what a beautiful and historic home he and his family have. Thank you Henry for inviting us to your mountain paradise!

Thought I'd try the palette knife en plein air a couple of mornings ago. It was fun to loosen up and do something different. This is my morning walk near my house so I titled it "Morning Walk". I know, not too creative with the title!!

Was able to capture the moment quickly in this "Maroon Bells" 8X10 plein air study. It's chilly when the sun still hasn't come over the mountain! This painting is now showing at Saks Galleries in Denver.

Here's wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Colorado Mountains. This is "Cement Creek Ranch" near Crested Butte where it is a Winter Wonderland right now! Enjoy…..

"Frosty Start" 16X16 oil on linen was inspired by the recent snowfall and frigid temperatures we had here in Denver. I hope you can feel the chill in the early morning air.

Another beautiful Colorado scene in the high country. One of my favorite places to go for an evening sleigh ride and a beautiful place to paint as well. "Twilight" 24X30 oil on linen is available at Saks Galleries "Over the River" Holiday Show through December 31st.
