This is our new tool, developed by the genius Jens Heinen, LICHTFAKTOR’s newest member who also did the fantastic „lightwriter 2.0“ software. With the “lightprinter” we are able to paint logos, words and patterns, just like they are printed in the air, this is the next step in “lightwriting”. We only did a test last night and we can’t wait to start using this tool…

Manifesting creative visions into material objects and spaces is one of the most prominent developments in contemporary design today. Tangible documents how designers are using the stylistic means of graphic design to implement their ideas spatially to create three-dimensional designs, objects and orchestrated spaces. The examples in this book show the unprecedented use of materials and innovative ideas – graphics morph into spatial sculptures, the intangible is made visual through handmade craftsmanship, physical experiences, visual environments and staged spatial installations such as art installations, interiors and architecture as well as urban interventions. Tangible continues the exploration of its trailblazing predecessor Tactile.

We did some “lightwritings” for the ESPN_The Worldwide Leader in Sports_Magazine, thanks to Lou.J.Vega from ESPN and Christoph Lenz from Glanzkinder.

This video is done for the “Max Ophuels Preis” 30th Anniversary, it’s the Trailer of the Film Festival 2009.

The Saarbruecken Film Festival “Max Ophuels Preis”, which is celebrating its 30th Anniversary from January 26th to February 1st 2009, is dedicated to the young German speaking film since its establishment. It sees itself as the most important forum for promoting new talents from Germany, Austria and Switzerland and can claim to be the only explicit New Talent Festival in German speaking territories.

net.culture.space exhibits artistic works and projects that creatively and playfully lead you into a mysterious, fantastic realm of digital illusions. Through interaction and animation, these projects generate worlds of sounds and images that blur the boundaries between virtuality
and reality.
At the opening, the Cologne-based artist community LICHTFAKTOR invites all visitors to participate in an “active” installation that makes it possible to paint, write and draw with light. Anyone can participate; the important thing here is not technology, but creativity. The light paintings that are created will be displayed as a large-scale projection on the façade of the Leopold Museum – a good opportunity to express yourself to the inner city of Vienna! The workshop will be led by Jens Heinen.
